Owner Outcome Brief

Is your number
actually enough?

Most owners find out what their exit actually delivers after the terms are set. This is the earlier conversation.

What you are about to receive

The Owner Outcome Brief walks through eight questions most owners have never formally answered. It does not require financial statements, a formal valuation, or a decision to sell.

Approximate numbers are enough. The goal is to identify what is known, what is still estimated, and where the planning gap may be before the market sets your terms.

The gap between the number you expect and the outcome you receive is rarely about the business. It is usually about everything that was never modelled.

  • 01 If the business sold tomorrow, how much would you actually keep personally?
  • 02 Is that number enough to support the life you want after the business?
  • 03 Are there tax or structural decisions that only work before the process starts?
  • 04 What parts of the deal could reduce your outcome even if the price looks strong?
  • 05 How much of the company's value is truly yours after the cap table runs?
  • 06 If a buyer showed up this year, what would diligence expose?
  • 07 If the deal came in below your number, would you still say yes?
  • 08 Do you know your real walk-away number, or only the number you hope to hear?
