Crop Progress

The Crop Progress Report was released on August 10, 2020.

Corn
The report showed that 97% of the corn is at silking stage as of August 9, 2020 (up from 92% last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 95% and 87% as of August 9, 2019.

The report showed that 59% of the corn is at dough stage as of August 9, 2020 (up from 39% last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 52% and 34% as of August 9, 2019.

The report showed that 6% of the corn is at dent stage as of August 9, 2020 (up from no report last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 12% and 11% as of August 9, 2019.

The report showed that 71% of the corn is rated good to excellent (down from 72% last week).  This compares to 57% of the corn rated good to excellent as of August 9, 2019.

Soybeans
The report showed that 92% of the soybeans are at blooming stage by August 9, 2020 (up from 85% last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 89% and 79% as of August 9, 2019.

The report showed that 75% of the soybeans are setting pods by August 9, 2020 (up from 59% last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 68% and 49% as of August 9, 2019.

The report showed that 74% of the soybeans is rated good to excellent (up from 73% last week).  This compares to 54% of the soybeans rated good to excellent as of August 9, 2019.

Wheat
The report showed that 90% of the wheat has been harvested by August 9, 2020 (up from 85% last week).  This compares to the 5 year average of 93% and 87% as of August 9, 2019.
