WASDE Report

The May 2020 WASDE Report was released May 12, 2020 

Corn
For 2019/20 United States Carryout, the report estimated corn carryout would be 2.098 billion bushels (up from the 2.092 billion bushels recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 2.251 billion bushels.  The previous year (2018/19) the corn carryout was 2.2211 billion bushels.

For 2019/20 World Carryout, the report estimated corn carryout would be 314.7 million metric tons (up from the 303.2 million metric tonnes recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 305.7 million metric tons.  The precious year (2018/19) World carryout was 320.9 million metric tons.

For 2019/20 South American Production, the report estimated Brazilian Corn production at 101 million metric tons (unchanged from the April 2020 WASDE estimate).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 99.3 million metric tons.  The report estimated Argentina Corn production at 50 million metric tons (unchanged from the April 2020 WASDE estimate).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 49.5 million metric tons. 


Soybeans
For 2019/20 United States Carryout, the report estimated soybean carryout would be 0.58 billion bushels (up from the .48 bushels recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 0.492 billion bushels.  The previous year (2018/19) the soybean carryout was 0.909 billion bushels.

For 2019/20 World Carryout, the report estimated soybeans carryout would be 100.3 million metric tons (down from the 100.5 million metric tons recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 99.7 million metric tons.  The previous year (2018/19), the World carryout was 112.5 million metric tons.

For 2019/20 South American Production, the report estimated Brazilian Soybean production at 124 million metric tons (down from the 124.5 recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 123.1 million metric tons.  The report estimated Argentina Soybean production at 51 million metric tons (down from the 52 million metric tons recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was 51.4 million metric tons.
 
Wheat
For 2019/20 United States Carryout, the report estimated wheat carryout would be 0.978 billion bushels (up from the 0.97 billion bushels recorded in April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate was 0.972 billion bushels.  The previous year (2018/19) the wheat carryout was 1.08 billion bushels. 

For 2019/20 World Carryout, the report estimated wheat carryout is 295.1 million metric tons (up from the 292.8 million metric tons recorded in the April WASDE).  The average pre-report estimate of analysts was for 292.3 million metric tons. The previous year (2018/19) the World Carryout was 279.4 million metric tons.
