Associate Investment Advisor

I officially joined Janice and Eva upon my graduation from UBC in May of 2016. I was a summer intern from 2010 to 2015, so was not a totally fresh face when I officially joined. I obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from UBC while playing on the varsity women's field hockey team and maintaining a very active engagement with the UBC varsity community.

While working towards my BSc and shooting for medical school, I interned with Janice and Eva for those 5 summers, and gradually realized that I really enjoyed working in this industry. As it was too late to switch my degree, I completed my BSc while studying for the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook at the same time, and have now successfully completed both. In May of 2016, I went to Toronto for the three-day Associate Investment Advisor (AIA) training course, and am now a registered Associate Investment Advisor.

While at UBC, I challenged myself by playing a varsity sport for all 5 years of my undergraduate degree. The UBC women's field hockey team won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) National Championships all 5 years I was a member of the team. In my last two years, I was named co-captain and led my team to those last two titles. On top of that, I was the Vice-President and Treasurer of the Thunderbird Athletic Council (TAC). In this position, I got to be the Master of Ceremony for two UBC banquets, each with an attendance of approx. 700 people, participate in the hiring process of the new UBC Athletic Director, while also managing the finances of the Council. In my final year at UBC, I was a nominee for the May Brown Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete Award, and the recipient of the UBC Twenty-8 Award for Outstanding Leadership by a female varsity student-athlete.

I now look forward to giving back to the UBC varsity community by stepping into a leadership role with the UBC Twenty-8 Group, which works to increase financial support for women in varsity athletics to empower them to pursue their academic, professional, and athletic endeavours. In the workplace I am a Branch Ambassador for BMO's Employee Giving Campaign and have attended a BMO Day of Caring.

I have a passion for reading novels and travelling the world, and love to spend quality time with my parents, "little" brother, and beloved friends. When not in the office you can find me working out in the gym or adventuring around the beautiful West Coast.

I am really excited to direct my passion for team work and constructive competitiveness to my position with BMO Nesbitt Burns, and consider myself extremely lucky to work with two incredibly accomplished and inspiring women who have a wealth of knowledge to share with me.
