“It’s not just about the money. It’s about getting the living right.”

There are defining moments in everyone’s life. This was one of mine.

As a young professional woman in the late 80’s in Toronto with the Chartered Accountant designation and 10 years of finance and investment experience, I was struggling to find my way in a meaningful career that made sense to me. I had been selling commercial real estate (what was I thinking and particularly as a woman?) until the prolonged bear market took hold (OH the learning!). I certainly wasn’t having any fun. One of my girlfriends, a former Olympic athlete, encouraged me to take a break and start thinking about the aspects of my career I enjoyed the most and what strengths I might bring to the table. And most importantly, what would make my working life fulfilling, productive and fun. Tough questions!

One of my personal goals at the time was to learn how to really ski so I set off to Whistler alone for a 2 week vacation. I turned those 2 weeks into a year of meeting new and interesting people, discovering the beauty of the West Coast, an ability to ski just about anywhere on the mountain and a career that made perfect sense to me. I never went back. Instead, I stayed in Vancouver and built an investment and wealth management business helping people with their money and investments. 30 years later, combining my love of engaging with people and their lives, a profound interest in the complex world of investments, my unique skill set and naturally warm, empathetic nature, I am still stimulated intellectually, psychologically and of course financially by what I do everyday. I am one of the lucky ones to be sure. Barring a decline in my physical and/or mental health, I have no plans to retire any time soon.

When I stop and think about what has happened in the past 30 years – bull, bear and sideways markets, Asian crisis (90’s), tech wreck (early 2000), 9/11, global credit crisis (’08 and '09), global pandemic, etc …it has been a very challenging, yet intellectually stimulating time. But it is that breadth of experience and perspective that has fed and nurtured my sound intellectual framework for making investment decisions and helping clients navigate toward their life cycle goals.

Vancouver has been very good for my strong sense of community and belief in giving back. I have had the distinct pleasure of serving as Board Chair of the United Way of the Lower Mainland, lead major fundraising events for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and played a key strategic role in fundraising for the internationally acclaimed Aga Kahn University. I was one of the original activators of SheEO, a group looking to alter the funding landscape for female entrepreneurs. Recently I was invited into the membership of the Vancouver chapter of the  International Women’s Foundation (IWF). I have run many 10K races, skied Peak to Valley races in Whistler, cycled the Gran Fondo and hiked mountains for many causes near and dear to me. I have yet to discover a yoga marathon for charity – perhaps I’ll start one.

Of course my personal statement is not complete without mentioning that I have been married to a Registered Psychologist in private practice for 27 years and together we have a fabulous 24 year old daughter currently navigating her way into the world of medicine. As a family we enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling, sailing, traveling the world and spending quality time with friends and family.

Eva Parker

Portfolio Manager

I hold a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from UBC Sauder School of Business and have been working in the investment industry since 2001.
Much of what appeals to me about this industry is the personal aspect of what we do and the impact we make on our clients lives. I find it very rewarding when I help clients to understand and make good financial decisions that are right for them, and I am proud to say that this is what our team does day in and day out and is the foundation of our business.
My affinity for finance and wealth management stems from my humble beginnings.
I came to Canada in the early 80s with my 8 family members and we lived in a small 2 bedroom basement suite together. My family worked long hard hours so that they could afford a house, raise and educate their children, and save a small nest egg for retirement. I learned that regardless of income level, one can achieve their financial goals given a well thought out financial plan and the discipline to stay with it.

My husband is a professional accountant with his own boutique practice. We have two active kids and our weekends are usually spent at ice rinks, turf fields, or walking the many North Shore trails with our Portuguese Water Dog.

Katrina Davis, CFA®

Associate Portfolio Manager

I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and am a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.

I joined the Noble Wealth Management Group full-time in 2016, and before then I was a summer intern from 2009-2015 while in school. I have a passion for working with people to achieve financial peace of mind and enjoy sharing my knowledge of financial literacy.

While at UBC I was very active in the varsity athletic community. I played for the UBC Thunderbirds varsity field hockey team throughout my undergrad and was captain in my last two years. We won the Canadian National Championship all 5 years I was a member of the team. I was also the Vice-President and Treasurer of the Thunderbird Athletic Council (TAC). In my final year at UBC, I was a nominee for the May Brown Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete Award, and was the recipient of the UBC Twenty-8 Award for Outstanding Leadership by a female varsity student-athlete.
In the workplace I have been a Branch Ambassador for BMO's Annual Employee Giving Campaign with United Way, and have attended several BMO Day of Caring events.

I am an active member of the Collingwood School Alumni Executive Council and continue to stay engaged with the UBC Thunderbirds alumni community.
I spend my free time doing CrossFit, surfing in Tofino and around the world with my husband, or with my nose in a book.

Client Service Associate

My career with BMO Nesbitt Burns started as a receptionist in 2018. I had the pleasure of joining the Noble Wealth Management Group in 2022 to support the team administratively. Prior to BMO Nesbitt Burns, I worked in the retail and service industry. I graduated from Simon Fraser University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I am currently enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course which I expect to complete in June 2023.

Outside of work, some of my favorite things to do is travel and spend time with family and friends over a good meal. Some of my fondest memories have been around a dinner table in different cities. When I’m not eating my way through cities and discovering local cafés, I love to keep active. I play in a recreational basketball league and enjoy taking my rescue dog, Bingsu, out on hikes and runs. I participated in my very first sprint triathlon in 2022 and hoping to join many more in the future!
