Stephen Miao

Stephen is the senior member of our team with more than 42 years of experience in financial industry. He graduated from University of Toronto in 1981 and began working his way up through Merrill Lynch and CIBC. BMO Nesbitt Burns invited Stephen and his team to join them in 2002. Stephen achieved managerial status by 2007 in the downtown King Branch. He has continued to gain substantial experience in finance and estate planning, obtained his Professional Planner Certification, Portfolio Manager Designation, and is also an Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc.

As a top producer in Nesbitt Burns, Stephen has been consistently named in the Chairman's Council - the most prestigious group for top advisors in Canada. He is also a Designated Investment Advisor for China and Taiwan Residents.

The majority of his clients have been with him for over 30 years. Stephen firmly believes in the importance of having a comprehensive investment plan and conducting regular portfolio reviews for clients. He has successfully helped them get through the transition from employment to retirement, assisting them in avoiding debts and longevity risk in the retirement age.

Stephen was formerly a member of finance committee at Havergal College; he is also a wine collector.
