Mathieu Larivière has been providing investment and financial advice since 2001. Now a Portfolio Manager with Groupe Larivière of BMO Nesbitt Burns, Mathieu leads a team focused on serving the complex needs of successful families, business owners, and doctors.
Through a family-office approach, Mathieu and his team serve as stewards of captial, emphasizing risk management tactics and the integration of specialized insight from a network of internal and external subject matter experts.
Over the years, he has attained some of the highest credentials, including the designation Fellow of the Canadian Securities Insittute (FCSI®) and appointment to the BMO Nesbitt Burns National Advisory Council (from 2016 to 2019). He has also occupied the role of Assistant Branch Manager for BMO Nesbitt Burns’ McGill Branch for two years (from 2018 to 2020). He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ottawa and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Québec in Montréal. He also holds the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
With Pierre-Luc's experience in the financial service industry going back to 2009, Pierre-Luc Houle is an Investment Advisor with Groupe Larivière. His focus is to deliver personalized and integrated financial advice, so that for each client, as little as possible is left up to chance.
In addition to Pierre-Luc’s industry experience, he also brings an extensive educational background to his current role. A graduate of the University of Laval, he also holds the Certified Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Services Institute (FCSI®), one of the most prestigious titles available to Canadian wealth advisors. He is currently in the process of completing his IQPF financial planning designation.

David Heng joined BMO in 2016 and has been providing financial advice at both the retail and Private Banking levels. Throughout his career, he has developed a great passion for solving and optimizing complex wealth management challenges for his clients. Now as an Investment Advisor with Groupe Larivière at BMO Nesbitt Burns, he can fully exercise this passion by dedicating his investment and planning expertise to the needs of business owners, professionals and their families.
David graduated from HEC Montreal with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and has received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)® designation in 2023.
Vanessa has worked for BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2015. Her focus is to understand her clients’ financial, retirement and overall lifestyle goals and work towards those goals by implementing investment strategies specific to her clients’ unique situations. Vanessa’s priority is that her clients feel understood, knowledgeable, comfortable and in control of their wealth path.
Vanessa’s industry experience is complemented by her educational background. Vanessa graduated from Concordia University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She has also acquired several certificates from the Canadian Securities Institute; Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME). She is currently pursuing her IQPF financial planning designation and intends on expanding her knowledge and education further in the next few years.
Charlotte (Pu) Zhang has worked in the financial industry since 2018. Her attention to detail and extensive customer service allows for delivery of the utmost care for our clients.
She responds to the administrative questions and needs of our clients. She is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our clients' accounts, any account updates, transferring securities and cash from other financial institutions, and all aspects of client service. Her goal is to make a contributive difference on delivering financial service to clients in need.
Charlotte also acquired certificates in Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH).
Stéphanie Rene-Filion has worked in the financial industry since 2014. Thanks to her knowledge and ability to analyze every possible solutions available, she is able to propose relevant and effective solutions.
She answers our clients' questions and administrative needs. She is in charge of the day-to-day administration of our clients' account updates, the transfer of securities and cash from other financial institutions, and all aspects of costumer service. Stephanie's goal is to help provide customers with the financial services they need.
