Catherine Lach, B.Comm., CIM®

Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager and Financial Planner

Catherine Lach was an avid investor at a young age and earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in Finance and Marketing in 1986. She began her career at Groupe Encore ITS, attaining the position of Vice President Business Development, then became an Account Manager at Rogers Communications assisting Fortune 500 companies – primarily the banking and insurance industry – to set up voice and data telecommunication networks.

Craving a long-term career based on lasting interpersonal relationships, she joined Edward Jones to train as an Investment Advisor in 2008, a very difficult time in the industry. Catherine staked everything to continue in the industry and has no regrets. A year later, a client referred her to BMO Nesbitt Burns, where she began assisting successful executives, professionals and business owners to preserve and grow their wealth though tax-efficient investment and insurance solutions and add meaning to their lives through strategic philanthropy.

Catherine holds the Financial Planner (Fin. Pl.), Portfolio Manager (PM), MFA-P (Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy) designations. She has also earned her Derivatives, Fundamentals and Options License and her Life Insurance license with BMO Estate and Insurance Services Inc. Catherine was once a gentlewoman farmer who owned and ran an apple orchard in the farming community of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. At harvest time, she invited family and friends to pick as many apples as they wanted and donated the remainder to local food banks. It is not surprising that Catherine is famous for her apple pie.
