Believing in women business owners

As a successful woman running my own growing business, I am relatable to other women in business, who still find that many financial professionals speak down to them and refuse to grant them loans without their husbands at the table.
 
On example is the advice and support I have provided to Anna Belanger, owner of Anna Belanger and Associates, which was featured in 2019 BMO Financial Group 2019 Sustainability Report and Public Accountability Statement. Anna’s chain of massage clinics has grown tremendously by meeting the therapeutic needs of women of all ages. Read about our partnership on page 31.
 
As a member of the Women’s Business Network, I was invited to appear as a panelist at their ABCs for Womxn Entrepreneurs discussion in March 2021 to mark International Women’s Week. In addition, I am a former Co-Chair of the BMO Alliance for Women, an employee resource group providing opportunities for women in business to land non-traditional roles. Our Ottawa chapter proudly inspired rollouts across the country.
