Kathlene Evanski, CIM, CFP

Senior Portfolio Manager

Kathlene has been in the financial services industry since 1996.  She has provided personalized wealth management advice for over 20 years. Kathlene has been with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2014 and prior to that worked elsewhere in the financial services industry.
 
Kathlene holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designations and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Ottawa.
 
Kathlene co-facilitated and sponsored a discussion on The ABCs for Womxn Entrepreneurs virtual event in 2021 to discuss International Women’s Week. Kathlene is a former board member of Parents’ Lifelines of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) and the Forest City Gymnastics Club in London. Kathlene is also a former Co-Chair of the BMO Alliance for Women, an employee resource group providing opportunities for women to advance into non-traditional roles. Kathlene also facilitates BMO’s Portfolio Manager training, helping businesses transition to the discretionary model and follow best practices to minimize errors in a new system with strict compliance rules.

Stephanie Lomuto, BA

Senior Client Service Associate

Stephanie Lomuto is more than Kathlene’s right arm – she is her good friend. Stephanie runs the show behind the scenes, knows as much about the team’s clients as Kathlene does, and shares in building their deep relationships. Stephanie feels blessed to work with clients who are amazing and caring.
 
Stephanie joined BMO in 2012 and has been supporting Kathlene since 2017. She started out at the contact centre making everyday banking calls in Montreal part time during university, and advanced to receiving calls. In 2015 she moved with her husband to Ottawa and worked at a BMO branch as a Customer Service Representative for two months before being promoted to Financial Services Manager/Personal Banker helping customers with lending and small-scale investments. There she met Kathlene, who encouraged her to apply to Nesbitt Burns.
 
At Concordia University, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC) with the Canadian Securities Institute. She served as BMO’s United Way Campaign Co-leader for a year.
 
Stephanie keeps very busy with a toddler at home and a strong commitment to her workout regime. Born and raised in Montreal, she enjoys returning to visit family and friends. She is fluent in French and can understand her Portuguese mother and Italian father.
