Dan Hwang, B.Comm. (Fin), FMA, PFP, CIM
Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager
While Dan Hwang has more than 18 years of experience in financial services and solid industry credentials, he is still young enough to offer multigenerational families the assurance of long-term, continued service through long-standing relationships. Dan brings his clients – primarily entrepreneurs, professionals, and retirees – a high degree of insurance knowledge, estate planning experience and understanding of tax efficiency planning. And, as a former banker, he knows the importance of credit and the power of leverage.
Dan joined BMO Private Wealth in 2007 after working at Clarica (now Sunlife) as an Insurance Advisor and at RBC as a Personal Banker. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Alberta in 2003 and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designations. Dan also speaks fluent Korean.
A devoted family man, Dan’s life centres around his wife and three young sons. He treasures time spent outdoors with the family – they head over to Lac Ste. Anne almost every weekend to enjoy fishing, swimming, snow-mobiling, and ice fishing.
