Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts, with first class honours in economics, from Mount Allison University. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)® designation in 1997 and is a portfolio manager for our managed accounts. Tim is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group, managing individual accounts, researching investment ideas and contributes to the writing of the "Quarterly Review" and the “Portfolio Managers' Notes”. Tim is a member of the Senior Management Committee of the firm. He is a past treasurer and board member of Miss Edgar's and Miss Cramp's School. Currently he sits on the board of The Molson Foundation and is actively involved in the ski racing community.
Catherine holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of HEC Montreal. She is accredited as a wealth management services specialist for high-net-worth clients and is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
She joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1997 as an investment advisor and the team in July 2000. As a senior portfolio manager, she now co-leads the Anderson Laurin team. She is mainly responsible for managing, planning, overseeing and advising clients with their family wealth. Clients include many entrepreneurs, professionals, executives, public foundations, private corporations as well as retirees. Catherine is also involved with researching and selecting investment ideas, developing marketing strategies and contributes to the writing of the team’s client communications.
Catherine currently serves as vice president of the board of the National Circus School and its Foundation. She also serves on the BMO Private Wealth Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee; BMO for Women East Council and the BMO Family Office Advisory Council. Catherine mentors young women on career development. She formerly served on the Nesbitt Burns IA Advisory Council; the Montreal chapter of the Women Presidents Organization; and the board of Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie, an all-girl’s school.The proud mother of two boys, Catherine spends her leisure time skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking and enjoys traveling.
Edward holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree in finance from Concordia University (John Molson School of Business) and received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2006. After beginning his career as a research associate for both public and private companies, he spent the past 14 years working with affluent clients as a Portfolio Manager at a bank owned investment counselling firm. In January of 2019, Edward joined the Anderson-Laurin team at BMO Nesbitt Burns. As a portfolio manager, he is responsible for overseeing and advising individual client accounts. He also works with the investment team on investment decisions, portfolio construction, modeling, and trading of all managed accounts. Edward sits on the board of the Habilitas Foundation and is the Chair of their Investment Committee.
Branden holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from John Molson School of Business. He joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2014 on a part-time basis during his studies and our team in 2016. He has embarked on a full-time basis with our team after graduating in 2018. He has successfully completed his Canadian Securities course in 2019. He received his Financial Planner (F. Pl.) designation in 2021 after completing his license with the IQPF Professional Training Course. He completed the Wealth Management Essentials Course in 2023. Branden speaks English, French, Cantonese and Vietnamese and is responsible for helping the portfolio managers with portfolio modeling and financial planning.
Tracey joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1997 and began her career in the securities industry in 1987. She joined our team in 2007 after successfully completing her Canadian Securities Course. Tracey has extensive administrative experience and handles administration of client accounts on a daily basis. She is also responsible for special projects, RESP's administration, Gateway (account access over the internet), estate settlements and account transfers.
Joanne joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2008 and our team in 2018. She has successfully completed her Canadian Securities course. Joanne’s professionalism and experience provide her with the ability to support a wide range of client needs. She handles tasks related to administrative responsibilities and provides support to our clients daily.
Yanne joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2011 and our team in 2015. She has successfully completed her Canadian Securities and Wealth Management Essentials courses. She assists Joanne and Tracey with the administration of client accounts on a daily basis. Yanne is also responsible for client documentation and special projects.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University. She joined BMO in 2019 after finishing her studies and successfully completed her Canadian Securities Course in 2020. After quickly finding an affinity and interest for the investment industry, she proceeded to completing her Wealth Management Course in 2021 and is currently a level 3 CFA candidate. Laura supports the team in various administrative and portfolio management projects.
