The Power of Attorney for Property is a legal document in which you appoint someone to continue acting on your behalf should you become incapable of managing your financial affairs. Specific requests are to be outlined in this document.

 

  • The onset of the POA could be due to accident, illness, or deemed mentally incapacitated
  • Your POA has a fiduciary duty to act with your best interest in mind
  • Responsibilities could include; day-to-day banking, managing investments and rental properties, and/or providing for dependents
  • Appointments can be a spouse, family member, friend or Trust Company
  • Two or more attorneys can be appointed to act jointly and/or severally
