Socially responsible Investing (SRI) is an investment philosophy that focuses on companies making positive social and/or environment change. To this end, most SRI investing uses (ESG) screening to determine a company's record on:
BMO Private Wealth / Nesbitt Burns employ a dedicated team of SRI/ESG specialists, whom our group engages with via the 'Global Sustainable Investment Portfolio'. This model is represented by an equally-weighted portfolio comprised of 20 large/mid-cap stocks, based on fundamental, quantitative and social impact analyses.
Companies involved in the following activites are excluded from the model:

- Tobacco & Marijuana.
- Nuclear Power.
