Patrick Jessiman, BA
Patrick was raised in a family with a strong business background, as both his father and grandfather are Winnipeg lawyers and were involved in starting and growing publicly listed corporations. This taught him at an early age the importance of planning and the careful consideration to analyzing risk.
Having worked with BMO Private Wealth for over ten years, Patrick joined The Filiba Wealth Advisory Team in December 2020. With the teams 20 plus years of experience, offering a deep understanding of wealth management, having a well organized and disciplined process - Patrick believes these are the values that define a great team to build a lasting relationship with his clients.
Prior to joining BMO, Patrick was a production accountant and investor relations executive at an energy start-up, where he gained exposure to entrepreneurship, organized limited partnerships and sourced investors. He learned a lot about risk in the commodities and energy sectors and the value of diversification.
Patrick holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Manitoba and is working to earn the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and become a Portfolio Manager. He has been Treasurer of the non-profit Graffiti Art Programming since 2013, which offers emerging young artists, primarily Indigenous and new Canadians, an opportunity to showcase their breakdancing and graffiti art.
Married with three young children, Patrick and his family do a lot of tobogganing, skating, and hiking in the Whiteshell Provincial Park together, and enjoy family vacations.
