Our Team

David Ferrie

Senior Portfolio Manager

I grew up in a farming community in Southern Ontario, where hard work started early picking tobacco and pumping gas as a kid. After earning a business degree in Waterloo, I moved to Toronto to launch a small business, eventually joining Burns Fry to begin my career in investment management. I’ve been building client relationships—and wealth—ever since.

Starting just months before the market crash of 1987, and later navigating events like the 2000 tech bubble and the 2008 Great Financial Crisis, I’ve learned firsthand how crucial it is to protect capital during turbulent markets. Those lessons shaped the investment strategy we use today.

Our approach combines an active component—designed to reduce exposure to risk when markets are uncertain—with a passive component that invests in private and alternative assets with low correlation to traditional markets. The result is a portfolio that aims to deliver steady, pension-like returns with significantly less volatility. That’s exactly what the clients we serve are looking for: peace of mind, long-term stability, and more consistent growth.

Anthony Petruccelli

Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner (PFP®)

I was born and raised in the greater Hamilton area. My dad’s family came over from Italy and settled in downtown Hamilton back in 1958. My mom’s side made their home in Niagara Falls, NY in the early 1900s. The two of them got married in 1969—and they’re still going strong today.

I grew up in Ancaster, where my parents still live. From a young age, I learned the value of hard work and family. While juggling a handful of part-time jobs, I earned my commerce degree from McMaster University.

Right after graduating in early 2000, I kicked off my career at BMO Nesbitt Burns on Bay Street in Toronto. I was just 24 and got a front-row seat to the tech bubble. It was a crash course in the importance of protecting capital—something that’s stayed central to how we invest today.

Our investment approach blends active risk management—so we can dial down exposure during rough patches—with a passive focus on private and alternative investments that don’t follow the ups and downs of the stock market. The goal? Steady, pension-like returns with less volatility. It’s a strategy designed to give our clients peace of mind and support long-term growth.

I take pride in being extremely family-oriented, which grounds my approach to both personal and professional relationships.
