When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

 

A doctor, firefighter or astronaut maybe?

 

Well, this next generation, Gen Alpha, is built differently.

 

Houston, we have a problem …

 

… because 68% of Gen Alpha kids want to be a professional Youtuber / TikToker / online streamer when they grow up.

 

That’s 2/3rds of our youth! Yikes.

In case you were wondering, Gen Alpha are kids born from the early 2010s onward.

So how do we make money off these kids? – the natural question to ask, right?

 

TikTok is owned privately by China’s ByteDance … for now.

 

But YouTube is owned by Alphabet (AKA Google) and it is an important and growing part of their business. Top line revenue from YouTube grew 10% year over year.
