Weekly "Focus" and Five Years Later
Bradley Goldhar - Mar 14, 2025
Please note that I am off next week, the weekly “Focus” will return on March 28th.
March 11, 2020 was the date the World Health Organization announced that the outbreak of COVID-19 had become a global pandemic. Hard to believe it’s already been five years and thought it would be interesting to review the performance of some of the companies that helped us navigate the period.
- Amazon rose to the forefront when physical stores had to close
- Netflix became the go to for entertainment; the movie theatre business has yet to fully recover
- Pfizer was one of the companies to produce a vaccine (remember the “vaccine hunters” group that helped identify where vaccines were available?)
- Zoom made work from home somewhat bearable with their video technology
