I drive a Ford Edge.

Due to many family summer road trips, the kms are getting up there and I’m beginning to consider what my next vehicle purchase will be.

 

Like picking investments, I prefer cars that are reliable, can stand the test of time and won’t cause me problems.

 

Therefore, I’m looking to the research done by Consumer Reports on the most reliable car brands. CR analyzed results from 330,000 vehicles, considering the 20 most common problem areas for autos.

 

 

According to this chart, I should be purchasing a Lexus/Toyota.

 

But, I’ve decided to instead make my decision based on best year-to-date stock return.

 

And my next car will be …
