Bruna has been in the Financial Services Industry since 2001. Following graduation from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bruna joined the financial services team at BMO Bank of Montreal and then later joined another major Canadian bank as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in the downtown Toronto area.

During her tenure, Bruna provided affluent clients, entrepreneurs, professionals and families with holistic financial plans, investment strategies and insurance advice to help them reach their financial goals.
As a long-time resident and supporter of the ever changing Hamilton, Ontario, Bruna is an active member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and various other community organizations.

Away from the office, Bruna is married with three children; Mia, Madison and Mason. Bruna loves to travel, read a good book, and garden in her spare time.

Neil was born in Luton, England and moved to Canada in 1982 with his parents and sister. Neil attended Sheridan College in Oakville before starting his career in Investor Relations for a mining consulting company. After a short stint with TD bank Neil moved on to CIBC where he spent 19 years as a Financial Advisor and Financial Planning Consultant. Neil joined the BMO Nesbitt Burns team in August 2015.

Neil holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and takes great pride in providing his clients with unbiased financial planning advice and investment solutions focused on each client’s individual and unique needs.
 
Neil is married to Imka and together they have 2 sons, Pyke & Ben. Outside of the office Neil enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hiking the Bruce Trail with his dog Jake, gardening and watching almost any sporting event.

Analytics and analysis have always been James’ forte and he is passionate about helping people. As a result, James has been captured by the art of Financial Planning since first being exposed to it in school. Since 2008, he has made it his mission to develop his craft to be at the absolute pinnacle of the industry. At BMO, James is part of an integrated team of in-house technical specialists that work together to facilitate a superb client experience that delivers customized solutions to address the unique and complex needs of clients.

James has been in the Wealth Management industry nearly a decade. During this time he has worked at boutique investment firms, large insurance companies and as a subject matter expert for Moody’s Analytics. James has experience with the creation and implementation of complex financial plans to service high net worth families and individuals including professionals, executives, business owners and professional athletes

Outside of work, James enjoys competing in sports including softball, golf, and hockey or coaching ski racing and soccer. If you do not see him creating a yard sale on the hill, tripping over the blue line or trapped in a golf bunker, he is likely on a hike with his family around one of the many trails in Hamilton. James currently resides with his wife and family in Burlington.
 

Leigh Vyn
Director, Tax Planning at BMO Wealth Management

Leigh joined BMO Wealth Management in 2017. In addition to her accounting background at KPMG, she has extensive experience in the investment industry, including working at a multi-family office where she led a diverse team. Most recently, Leigh worked as a Business and Family Wealth Specialist where she focused on tax planning and wealth transfer strategies for high net worth clients and business owners. For four years, Leigh co-authored the book “Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies”.

Darren KnottCFP®, CLU, CH.F.C
Estate and Insurance Planning

Darren graduated from the University of Guelph with a BA in Economics and entered the financial industry in 1987 with Mutual Life of Canada. He went on to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.) designations. Darren joined the BMO Nesbitt Burns Estate and Insurance Planning team in September of 2015 after spending the last 14 years with CIBC Wood Gundy.  

Darren served on the Board of Directors for three years with The Learning Disabilities Association of London-Middlesex as well as with ADVOCIS on London's Board of Directors for eight years including a one year tenure in the role of President.

  

Adam Carter
VP, Business Advisory & Succession Planning at BMO Wealth Management​

Experience & background
Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Adam worked for KPMG since 2005. Working within the KPMG Corporate Finance Group for nine years, he advised private company owners across multiple industries, with business enterprise values ranging from $3 million to +$100 million, on divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations for multiple purposes. Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, financial modeling & projections and corporate audits.

Landon Hang
Director, Will and Estate Planning at BMO Wealth Management​

Experience & background Prior to joining the BMO Enterprise Wealth Management Group, Landon practiced in a regional firm in the solicitors department with a focus on wills & estates, corporate commercial, and real estate law. Landon is able to draw from his past experience to provide clients with comprehensive support with their estate planning needs involving complex issues.

Linda Leung, CPA, TEP
Director, US Tax Planning

Linda is responsible for providing Investment Advisors and their clients with Canadian and US tax planning support. Before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Linda was a member of a global tax team at a large consulting firm where she assisted individuals in understanding the Canadian, US and international tax implications of their various forms of compensation. Prior to that, she was employed by a large, international accounting firm in their International Assignment Services and Small Business tax groups.
Linda has expertise in US personal tax matters and can provide guidance on cross-border personal income tax issues. In her previous role, Linda was also involved in the design and execution of global executive compensation and share plans.
Linda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).
