Andrée Godbout

Andrée advises high net worth individuals, professionals and entrepreneurs on specialized estate and trust solutions, as part of an integrated wealth planning team.

Andrée joined BMO in November 2015 as a Wealth Management Consultant, where she supported our teams in offering a broader wealth planning experience for their high net worth clients` needs. In addition to having earned her TEP and CFP designations, Andrée’s background includes private practice as a lawyer, and 8 years at another major financial institution as a Trusts and Estates Consultant. She was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2006, and the Nova Scotia bar in 2008. In addition, she is Past Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners` Atlantic Branch, and Past Chair of the Halifax Estate Planning Council.

Vice President, Ultra High Net Worth PlanningVice President, Ultra High Net Worth Planning

James brings over 20 years of experience working directly with business families in developing their business and wealth transition. He shares his knowledge and experience in this area in a co-authored book, “The Transition Experience – What every Canadian family business owner should know beyond succession planning”. Central to his approach is exploring with family and family members, the impact and responsibility that comes with multi-generational wealth, and ultimately developing goals and governance associated with the stewardship of wealth.

James started his career practicing tax, business valuation and corporate insolvency at a national accounting firm. He joined BMO in 2000 to lead and develop a then new initiative, business succession planning.

His experience in business succession planning underpins his wider work with families in developing their wealth legacy.  He meets with multiple generations of each family as part of his work to develop lasting stewardship of wealth.  Educating younger generations on financial fluency is part of his legacy planning work.
Prior to joining BMO, he was a commercial account manager in another Canadian bank, gaining valuable perspective on the use of leverage as part of overall wealth planning.

Mathieu Lefebvre, CPA, CA, CFA

Vice President, Business Advisory & Succession Planning

Building relationships with clients is paramount to becoming a trusted advisor. Mathieu’s goal is to develop rapport with clients through open communication, trust and exceptional service. Leaning on his diverse background and experience, Mathieu provides guidance to private business owners and families in the areas of business succession, transition, growth through acquisitions, sell-side M&A, and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and exit planning.

Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Mathieu has over 10 years of experience with national and Big 4 accounting firms. Working within the M&A Transaction services Group, he advised private company owners across multiple industries, with business enterprise values ranging from $3 million to +$100 million on all aspects of the M&A transaction process, from the initial analysis of financial and operational performance to the closing of the transaction (i.e. divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations). Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, and corporate audits.

Mark provides comprehensive financial planning advice and customized solutions in areas such as cash flow, retirement planning, tax planning, risk management, and estate planning. Drawing on his extensive financial expertise and planning acumen, Mark helps clients to articulate and understand their unique objectives and helps them to make better financial decisions.

Mark joined BMO Private Wealth in 2016, following progressively senior roles in the financial services industry, specializing in wealth planning. In his previous role, he worked as a Senior Financial Planning Consultant, working exclusively with High Net Worth clients, with a major Canadian bank.

Robbie has more than a decade of specialization in tax, trust, and estate planning, which allows him to tailor wealth planning strategies for the clients he collaboratively serves.
