Tara Kelly, FCSI

Investment Advisor & Financial Planner

Tara has always been passionate about supporting successful individuals and families as they navigate to a financially comfortable future. She is dedicated to helping her client’s meet their financial priorities at every stage of their lives and utilizes her Financial Planning skills, Tax Strategies, and market expertise. With 23 years of financial industry experience, Tara began at BMO in 2000 as a Financial Planner and joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2011 as an Investment Advisor. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Social Science. Tara holds the Financial Manager Advisor (FMA), Professional Financial Planner (PFP), and the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations, as well as a certificate in Advanced Investment Advice.

Tara is passionate about mentoring young women in the firm by utilizing her decades of experience and thoughtful guidance. Tara is a member of the Oakville Soccer Club where she coaches her daughter's team. She is also a member of the Ontario Equestrian Federation and enjoys riding her horse and playing the piano in her spare time.

James Waters

Investment Associate & Financial Planner

Friendly, sincere, and passionately client-focused, James Waters helps his clients build, manage, and enjoy their wealth within the context of a smart financial plan. Understanding that financial peace of mind comes from a clear and comprehensive plan, he is committed to educating clients and encourages them to think about money beyond just investments.

James has earned many of the industry’s most respected credentials. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and a Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM). He also holds certificates from the CSI in Retirement Strategy, Estate Planning and Trust Strategy, and Advanced Investment Strategy. James is an MBA graduate of the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Prior to joining the Tara Kelly Investment Group, James held various leadership roles at BMO Private Wealth. His extensive experience in strategic planning, team management, and client relationship building has equipped him with the skills to provide exceptional service and innovative solutions. James's ability to navigate complex financial scenarios and his commitment to ethical leadership will greatly benefit the team and their clients, ensuring a high standard of personalized wealth management.

Outside of his work with clients, James loves spending time with his family. His calendar is always full of activities and sports, which is just the fast-paced way he likes it. If there is ever time off from coaching his kids, you will find him cruising down a ski hill or trapped in a golf bunker.

Carla Barichello

Investment Advisor & Financial Planner

Fluent in English and Italian, Carla Barichello is an experienced Investment Advisor and Financial Planner with over 30 years of experience assisting multiple generations of families and their businesses. She works in Stoney Creek and throughout the Niagara region to help her clients build and preserve wealth by providing objective advice and comprehensive, multi-generational wealth planning. Clients love Carla’s warmth, integrity, relatability and down-to-earth yet upbeat attitude.

Carla holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and the Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC®) designations and has a strong background in investment management, private banking and financial planning – including retirement, estate, trust and tax strategies. She joined BMO Private Wealth in 2017 after working with CIBC Imperial Service for more than 30 years, where her roles included Financial Advisor, Personal Banking Representative, Account Manager and Head Teller. Carla won the CIBC Award of Distinction in 2012 and the Chairman’s Award in 1996 and was a four-time Annual Achiever and multiple Quarterly Achiever.

In 1962, Carla’s parents left their large family in Northern Italy to immigrate to Canada and settled in upper Stoney Creek, where Carla was born and grew up on a mushroom farm. In her personal time, Carla loves talking with seniors in her community – she visits widows and widowers on an informal basis to chat and hear their life stories. Carla also likes to keep busy and active, is learning tennis, and loves travelling to visit family in Italy and explore other parts of the world.

Jessica Oliveira

Jessica began her career with Bank of Montreal in 2017, most recently working as a Personal Banker. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and is committed to continuous learning in the industry. With her 7+ years in customer service, she has proven excellence in relationship management, and personal and commercial banking. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, living an active lifestyle, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
