Meet The Team

Tamara has been an Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns since early 1997. Since that period, she has experienced both the best and worst of times as markets fluctuated through various historical events.  Her discipline and strategies have proven to not only weather the storms but provide growth after the recoveries.

Services encompass all aspects of financial planning; investment management, estate planning, and retirement planning with access to exceptional resources ranging from pension managers, research teams and innovative investment products.

Tamara’s formal education is in Economics, which helps her better understand today's complex investment world and explain it to investors. The calibre of relationships she forges with investors is a testament to her success as a Wealth Advisor who genuinely cares about her clients. Building a solid rapport based on trust and confidence is paramount to her.

Originally from Montreal, Tamara moved to Ottawa in 1995. She is fluent in French and speaks Italian and Ukrainian. She has extensive past experience as a member of various Boards of Directors within in the Ottawa-Carleton region.  Outside of work, one of her passions is volunteering within the community as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Ottawa Police Service since 2009.  Her love for music and past studies in classical piano is partly why she volunteered at the Ottawa Bluesfest from 2000-2014 in hospitality with the musicians and sponsors.  Her most memorable and life changing volunteering experiences have been building shelter in Mozambique and Portugal with Habitat for Humanity Global Village.

Samantha has been with Nesbitt Burns for 8 years and joined our team 4 years ago as as an Administrative Assistant. Prior to coming to us she was with BMO Bank of Montreal for 9 years. She is responsible for behind the scenes processing that is so important to our operation. She prides herself in the level of service she provides to our clients.

Samantha is very active in her church and the community, volunteering for different charitable organizations, especially women’s charities. For many years she has been the Association Treasurer for a Women’s Group in Ottawa and on the Board of Directors for a Women's Group in Ontario and Quebec.

Samantha was raised in a military family and moved around quite often but calls Petawawa her home.

She currently resides in Kanata with her husband Jeff and their "furry” babies, a dog and 4 cats. She is a very proud Auntie to 4 beautiful nieces.
