Rani Baroud, F.Pl.

Investment Advisor & Financial Planner

Rani is first and foremost a proud father of twin girls. He and his wife Lara, care deeply about spending enough time with them and passing on their family values.

Rani graduated from ESG-UQÀM with a Bachelor’s in Finance and went on to complete the Financial Planner (IQPF) designation.

Throughout his 13 plus years with BMO Financial Group he has won multiple awards, some of the most notable are:

  • “Top under 40 by the Investment Industry Association of Canada” - 2022
  • “One of Canada’s Top Wealth Advisors – Top in Province by the Globe in Mail” - 2022
  • Qualified on 5 separate years as a top Nesbitt Advisor, for the Conference of the Stars

 

Rani has also held various positions of increasing responsibility, all of which have given him substantial experience in multiple areas of finance such as lending, commercial banking and estate settling.

He currently specializes in wealth management and uses a holistic approach to identify the needs of his clients and prepare portfolios accordingly. He confers with tax specialists to implement financial plans with optimal tax outcomes.
Rani believes trust, transparency and knowledge are all key for successful wealth management. He is a firm believer in providing an integrative experience, making things simple for his clients.

Rani is passionate about travel & charity work. He is presently a volunteer at L’Hirondelle, a non-for-profit organization, that helps integrate immigrants in the Quebec Society and guides them in their process of finding employment. Rani was also the president of the CAFEL bursary program, that offered more than 25K yearly to students with financial needs.

Gregory Jay-Riendeau, F.Pl.

Sales Assistant & Financial Planner

Gregory graduated from John Molson School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance. He started working at BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2018. Since then he has earned his Investment Representative license from the Canadian Securities Institute and has gone on to complete the IQPF professional training course to receive the Financial Planner (F. Pl.) designation.

Gregory is an extremely dedicated and driven individual. He will provide valuable help with all the administrative and operational needs of our clients.

Outside of work, Gregory has a passion for learning and holds many hobbies. Some of the most notable are Cooking, Nature and anything involving some form of friendly competition.

Danny Guarnieri, CPA, CA

Director, Wealth Planning

Danny offers personalized wealth management advice to high-net-worth BMO clients. He identifies each client’s needs and objectives and determines their financial position in order to develop a comprehensive plan that simplifies complex matters such as financial, tax, estate and business succession planning. In addition, Danny draws on his extensive experience in a private practice to develop quality plans and educate clients on the risks and opportunities inherent in these plans.

 

Danny joined BMO Wealth Management in 2017. He began his career in 2006 with the international accounting firm Deloitte, where he gained significant experience auditing large public and private corporations. After completing a master’s degree in taxation in 2013, he joined Deloitte’s tax services where he specialized in tax planning and compliance for public and private corporations. In 2015, Danny joined the tax department of Richter LLP, where he developed his knowledge of tax planning and restructuring for private corporations and business owners.

Chantal Moreau, D.D.N.

Director, Estate Planning

Chantal is a member of the BMO Wealth Management team as a Director, Estate Planning. Chantal assists high-net-worth clients in developing their customized estate plans. Chantal helps to ensure that the legal documents her clients put in place reflect their reality, their needs, and their objectives while maximizing their estate value and asset protection.

 

Chantal is a member of the Chambre des notaires du Québec. Prior to joining the BMO Private Wealth planning team, Chantal gained hands-on experience in the administration of estates, trusts, and protection regimes with BMO Trust Company.  Previously, Chantal worked as a notary in a private practice where she also settled estates and worked on non-contentious legal proceedings. This experience gave her a practical perspective on estate planning and equipped her to anticipate possible issues and propose effective solutions.

 

Chantal holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a Graduate Diploma in Notarial Law (D.D.N.) from Université de Sherbrooke. She is currently completing a specialization program in order to earn the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation.

Olivier Paquin

Director, Tax Planning

Olivier is part of the specialized planning team within BMO Wealth Management where he acts as a tax and estate planner. His main focus is to assist high net worth clients and their families in reaching their objectives by making complex tax issues understandable, managing risks and identifying opportunities.

Olivier was called to the Quebec Bar in 2012. After completing his master’s degree in taxation, he worked for a well-known law firm based in Montreal where he advised business owners and professionals on a multitude of corporate, personal, and trust taxation issues. He also provided tax planning assistance on many corporate reorganizations, and business transfers.

Olivier joined BMO Wealth Management in 2016. He works in collaboration with professionals at BMO Private Wealth.

As a Tax lawyer and financial planner, Zeina advises high net worth families, professionals and entrepreneurs on specialized wealth planning solutions. Whether it’s thought leadership on estate planning, new family wealth, tax planning, or philanthropy, Zeina is dedicated to simplifying complex issues and providing practical and informed strategies. Zeina joined BMO in 2011 after several years as a tax lawyer in private practice. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2001.

Jean joined BMO Wealth Management in 2001 after acquiring solid expertise in advising individual clients and business owners with a leading Canadian insurer, a leading accounting firm, and a law firm.

With BMO for 26 years, Nicolas has a solid financial background. Since joining BMO Private Wealth in 2005, he has steadily become one of the best wealth management advisors in Canada. He holds an undergraduate degree from HEC Montréal, a Financial Planner (Fin. Pl.) designation from the Institut Québecois de planification financière, passed the Canadian Securities Course as well as the Chartered Investment Manager designation (CIM®).

Manale has been recognized for excellence at Bank of Montreal. She has won several BEAM awards, including the grand prize for three consecutive years. Outside of her role as a banker, she volunteers her financial expertise to charitable organizations and supports local initiatives.
