Kyle Dietrich
Investment Advisor
Financial Planner

I am an Investment Advisor with over 6 years experience in the investments industry. I am fully licensed to trade all types of investment products including options. Prior to joining the Guelph office I was part of a team at BMO Nesbitt Burns in Alberta managing a portfolio worth roughly $150 million. This experience allowed me to learn what products and services are best suited for various types of investors and situations. It also allowed me to make important, lasting contacts with employees and executives in the booming oil and gas sector.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, I spent two years working with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board as part of their Equity Derivatives and Merchant Banking Teams. This experience allowed me to obtain a detailed understanding of the options market and how effective strategies can be developed and implemented in various types of market scenarios.

I am a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University where I earned my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Financial Management and I have completed numerous industry courses through the Canadian Securities Institute including the Professional Financial Planning Course, Derivative Fundamentals Course, Options Licensing Course, Conduct and Practices Course and the Canadian Securities Course. I am committed to life long learning and will continue to take relevant courses to ensure that I stay up to date with the markets.

I was born and raised in rural Waterloo Region (Petersburg) and am currently living with my wife Amanda in Fergus where she has joined one of the medical clinics and is working as a family physician.

Growing up in the country and working for and with many rural businesses has allowed me to experience the perks and challenges of being outside of the big city. I realize that whether you’re farming or running your own shop, it can be difficult to find the time to schedule appointments in town. On the other hand, being busy is no excuse for ignoring your finances. That’s why my knowledge of rural business and my flexible approach makes me the ideal advisor for those who run their own businesses or who have extremely busy schedules. You name the time and the place and I’ll bring my expertise to you!

The most important thing to consider when dealing with an advisor is TRUST. You need to trust that your advisor is going to be able to recognize and understand your needs as well as being able to choose the solution that is best for you. With my education, experience and small town background, you can be assured that you’ll be dealing with someone you can trust. Package this with flexible hours, top ranked research, excellent managed portfolios and a detailed knowledge of the derivatives and options markets and you have an advisor who you can count on!
