Ken Dong, CFA, FCSI, CIM

Senior Investment Advisor

Born and raised in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Ken Graduated at UBC with a special focus on Securities Analysis and Investment Portfolio Management. He earned the CFA designation, which is one of the highest designations in the investment industry in United States and Canada. Ken is holder of the Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) as well as holds CIM designation. He has been in the investment industry for over 38 years of which 30 years with BMO Nesbitt Burns. Ken's preferred areas of practice is managing large portfolios with a focus on generating high income with long term growth, using a variety of wealth preservation strategies. His expertise goes from Retirement to Estate Planning and beyond.

He strongly believes that Investment Strategies should have an aim of achieving Retirement Goals while creating an Estate for future generations. At the end of the day Ken is focused on helping clients achieve a peace of mind financially.

On the weekends you can find Ken enjoying quality time hosting his friends and family in his beautiful vacation home in Parksville, BC. He enjoys a fishing, squash, pickleball and a good round of Golf on a beautiful sunny day!

Winnie Koch, BA

Investment Associate

Winnie joined BMO Nesbitt Burns Vancouver, Ken Dong’s Team in 1999 after Graduated from University of British Columbia and has over 20 years of client-focused investment and wealth advisory experiences. As an Investment Associate, Winnie works closely with Ken, supporting him in the planning, implementation and daily monitoring of client specific portfolios.

 

With her husband, Greg, they are both actively involved at Vancouver College with their 2 sons in the Rowing Team; and zealously participants in their local parishes.

Rish Khanna, BBA (Fin)

Client Service Associate

Rish was born in India and moved to Vancouver with his family at a very young age. Having now lived in Beautiful British Columbia for almost 20 years, he feels pride in calling Canada home. He began his banking career in 2016 while finishing school at Capilano University completing his Bachelor's in Business, focusing on Economics and International Studies. Moving through various roles in retail banking, he found a strong interest in having conversations about savings and investing, showing clients who are in different stages of their life how to have their savings work for them overtime, which fueled his interest towards a career in Financial Planning and Wealth Management. He currently is studying for his WME Designation while learning the ropes with our Senior Investment Advisor Ken and his near 40 years of in-depth knowledge in portfolio development strategies, equities/fixed-income trading and navigating through all types of markets to create steady long-term income streams for clients.

 

When away from the desk, you can find Rish traveling somewhere tropical with friends or family. He also enjoys music, watching sports or playing Golf (amateurly).
