Jeff Hill, Vice President & Managing Director
Jeff Hill has been appointed a Vice President and Managing Director at the firm, and is also the Branch Manager (for one of the largest BMO Nesbitt Burn Offices in Canada). He has over 20 years of broad based financial services experience, over 10 of which he has been working to manage the wealth of high net worth families and corporations across Canada. Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Jeff spent 7 years with a major international bank, laterally as an Assistant Vice President in the Toronto based corporate and commercial lending group.
Jeff served two consecutive terms on the Board of Directors of the local chapter of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (“CSAE”), works with a number of local benevolent causes, and is an active fundraiser and contributor to Ashbury College.
Jeff completed his Undergraduate studies at Bishop's University (BBA, Finance & Economics) and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland
Bob Strachan, Wealth Advisor
Bob Strachan, Wealth Advisor, established Canada Trust’s first Personal Trust Division in Ottawa and was the Regional Assistant V.P. for fiduciary and banking operations. He spent over eight years in senior financial management positions before leaving Canada Trust in 1995 to join BMO Nesbitt Burns.
Bob has since established a wealth management and planning practice providing financial services and wealth planning solutions to personal, not for profit clients and organizations. His experience in the financial services span for over 30 years holding various trust and investment management positions throughout his career.
An active supporter for the charitable sector, Bob served with the United Ways of London, the Community of Foundations of Kitchener-Waterloo and Ottawa to name a few. He is also a frequent speaker on the topics of estate planning / charitable giving and is a member of the Ottawa Estate Planning Council and past Director of Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).
When Bob is not spending time with his family outside of work he can be found on the golf course or catching up on the latest hockey news.
Megan McCarthy, Associate Investment Advisor
Megan McCarthy has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, from three separate companies. Megan started her career at ScotiaMcLeod as an associate, and moved to Richardson GMP in operations, before transferring to BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2012. Megan joined the Strachan-Hill Wealth Management group in January 2017.
Megan performs day to day transactions required to keep client portfolios up-to-date and properly managed. Megan coordinates wealth plans and is responsible for monitoring the changes required to keep our clients on a successful financial path.

Anka Nichol has been with BMO for over 30 years. Over the years, Anka has nurtured strong and positive client relationships through her ability to manage clients’ needs and expectations. Anka is the lead on documentation, taxation and ongoing administrative changes with a focus on ensuring new and existing clients are provided with an exceptional service.
