It’s not every day that you encounter a person who loves their job. Jamie can honestly say she is one of those few people. As a Wealth Advisor and Associate Portfolio Manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns, she is deeply committed to the people who put their financial and personal trust in her.
Jamie’s interest in the financial industry and wealth management started the day she opened her first savings account. Growing up, she spent Saturday mornings with a colouring book on the floor of her father’s downtown office and listening to him offer financial advice to his clients. By the time she was 15, she had her first job as a summer student at BMO.
After university, she joined BMO Financial Group as Assistant Manager of Corporate Sponsorships and Strategic Marketing Alliances. Inspired and encouraged by her dad, Jamie joined him at BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2007 as a Financial Advisor.
Today, with over a decade of experience, Jamie has earned a reputation as a Wealth Advisor who not only helps clients exceed their financial goals but also helps them understand the ups and downs of the market and supports them in their personal financial journeys.
Her drive, dedication, and distinction landed her a coveted spot on the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) Top Under 40 nominees list in 2016.
On any given day, she wears many hats. She is an Associate Portfolio Manager, Chartered Investment Manager, a mentor, a speaker and writer. She has been a featured speaker at the BMO Financial Group Women’s Financial Summit, Fierce Feminine Leadership Live Mentoring Series and Women of Influence events. She is the creator of Cents and the City, a financial newsletter for female investors and has been quoted in Women of Influence Magazine. Jamie also the Co-Chair of Verity Investment Club. On weekends you will find Jamie racing her 3 kids down the ski hill or sipping a margarita on the dock at the family cottage.
