Richard Goulet

Richard was born in the Ottawa area in 1962. He was invited to join BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1999, after completing the Canadian Securities Course along with an intensive training program. 20 years later, Richard has obtained the prestigious Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager designations.
Richard prides himself on keeping his clients up to date on the progress of their investments through regular portfolio and performance reviews. Richard brings together BMO’s in house experts from every discipline of wealth management, incorporation, estates, trusts, insurance and banking. The development of long term relationships is a priority for Richard, and he is the advisor to the 3rd generation for many of the families that he serves.
When not in the office, Richard can be found playing golf, hockey and enjoying the cottage life.

Krista Guillemette, PFP

With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry—including more than two decades dedicated to wealth management—Krista Guillemette is recognized for her ability to design bespoke financial strategies that reflect each client’s unique goals, values, and life circumstances. Her approach is deeply holistic, seamlessly integrating investment strategy, tax efficiency, estate planning, and retirement readiness into forward-looking, personalized plans.

Krista holds an Honours BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo, with specializations in Finance and International Trade. Her academic foundation is complemented by a suite of advanced industry credentials, including the Professional Financial Planning Course, Options Licensing, Derivatives Fundamentals, and the Life License Qualification Program.

Throughout her career at four of Canada’s leading bank-owned investment firms, Krista has cultivated deep expertise in portfolio management and advisory services for ultra high net worth clients. Her reputation for strategic insight, client-centric service, and unwavering professionalism is matched by her commitment to community leadership—most notably, her instrumental role in establishing a children’s playroom at the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario.

Since joining the team in 2009, Krista has earned the trust of a diverse clientele – including multi-generational families, professionals and corporate clients - across both English and French-speaking communities. Outside of work, Krista is an avid snowboarder and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring Canada’s natural beauty with her family.

Pierre Bernier, CFP®, FMA

Investment Advisor

Pierre has worked in the financial services industry with major Canadian banks since 1991, including 16 years as a Private Wealth Consultant. He previously worked with a boutique wealth management firm and other large Canadian banks, advising high net worth families, corporations, and institutional clients. Pierre is effective in managing complex planning scenarios with the highest professional standards and practice, and coordinates his team of experts in the areas of asset management, tax, insurance, and estate planning. Pierre has served as an executive member of the Board of Directors for the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, and has served as an Executive on the the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association board.

Pierre is a graduate from Concordia University. He holds the Certified Financial Planner, the Personal Financial Planner, and the Financial Management Advisor designations. He has also completed the Life License Qualification Program from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada and the Canadian Securities Course, the Wealth Management Techniques Course, and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, all through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Roxanne Laporte

Roxanne Laporte has been a valued member of BMO Nesbitt Burns since 1997, bringing over three decades of experience to her role. Since 2000, she has worked closely with Richard Goulet building his brand, serving as a licensed Investment Representative and specializing in the organization and administration of the team’s business operations. Roxanne is recognized as an expert in document management and is responsible for handling daily client requests, scheduling and preparing client meetings, and coordinating special events. Her commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, combined with her attention to detail and genuine compassion for clients and their families, makes her an indispensable part of the team.

Over the years, Roxanne has received numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding client service. Her dedication and high standards have earned her the prestigious Grand Ovation Award, reflecting her exceptional contributions and peer recognition. Roxanne continues to drive success and inspire those around her with her commitment to excellence and passion for innovation.

Originally from Sturgeon Falls, Roxanne moved to Ottawa at an early age and earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. She resides in Ottawa’s East end with her husband, and their twin daughters. Outside of her professional life, Roxanne enjoys volunteering, camping, and traveling with family and friends.

Heather Gray

Client Service Associate

Heather joined the investment industry after attending university in both Canada and United Kingdom. Her career began at a Boston-based mutual fund consulting firm followed by  a management role at a large affinity investment firm. She joined BMO Private Wealth in 2022 to pursue her passion for helping small business owners and their families financially navigate ever-shifting family, policy and rural landscapes.

Hailing from two family-owned businesses, including a Stratford, Ontario bed and breakfast catering to global theatre patrons and a beef farm in the Ottawa Valley, she has also worked within the landlord-tenant system on a dairy farm in Britain - all experiences which have shaped her perspective on family and wealth, across generations.

Her community and family ties to the Canadian Foundation for Fallen Firefighters have led to her initiating QR coding at the national memorial site, west of Parliament, in Ottawa.

An avid sci-fi reader and amateur golfer, she shares her home with a myriad of pets and a pre-teen son who objects to the link between his summer vacations and her preferred travel itineraries, which include visiting the continental divides.

Leveraging over 14 years of experience in the Wealth Management, Accounting & Fintech industries, Sarah brings extensive knowledge to her current role where she collaborates with a specialized team of Professionals in the areas of Taxation, Estate Law, Philanthropy and Business Succession, helping our clients improve their financial outcomes through the delivery of tailored strategies and solutions meant to enhance the structure, growth, and transfer of their Patrimony.

Before joining BMO, Sarah worked as a Private Banker and Financial Planner, helping her clients realize their vision for a lasting family legacy and broader community impact, by providing a clear roadmap that would guide every step of their financial journey. Her tenure at a Public Accounting firm as a Lead Wealth Planner saw her working alongside seasoned Tax Advisors and Accounting Partners to deliver a comprehensive service model that integrated Portfolio Management with Tax and Estate Planning.

Passionate about promoting Financial Literacy and educating the next generation, Sarah will often work with our clients’ children to improve their financial acumen and readiness to take over their family’s wealth. She is a Finance Graduate from McGill University and holds the Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Investment Manager® designations.

Carol Willes

Director, Estate Planning

Carol brings over 30 years of legal experience with 17 years of dedicated wealth and estate planning expertise to her role. Carol came from a combination of private practice in law and consulting for clients from Asia to Europe in the areas of business structuring, succession planning and financing. She has taught both undergraduates and executives at the Queen’s University School of Business and Faculty of Law, in the fields of international business, law and ethics and most recently taught Wills and the Law of Succession to upper year law students at the University of Ottawa.

Now as Director, Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth, Carol strives to provide meaningful, client-centered advice and solutions. She helps individuals and their families build a secure and purposeful legacy and find peace of mind in the context of their entire wealth story.

Carol assists clients from many backgrounds to comprehend their present circumstances and to develop that future legacy. Louis-Philippe de Sève-Bergeron, LL.B, TEP

As a tax specialist, Louis-Philippe provides information and guidance to individuals and businesses relevant to today’s complex tax environment. In order to coordinate the best client solutions, Louis-Philippe often works directly with our clients’ lawyers and accountants. Louis-Philippe is also fluent in both English and French. Louis-Philippe, holds both a Master of Taxation and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, has worked extensively on corporate reorganizations and restructuring, estate planning, and establishment of trusts. He has consulted on intergenerational transfers, estate planning and transfers to key employees. With over 12 years of experience in an accounting environment, 6 being at BMO, he has developed the ability to provide clear and concise advice to a variety of clients during their most stressful life events.
