Margot received her BBA with Honours in Finance and Economics from the University of New Brunswick in 2013. While attending university, Margot began her career with BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2011 as an intern in their Fredericton office, and she loved it. Soon after graduation Margot moved to Toronto to begin a professional career working with the Newlands Group. Margot’s core responsibilities are servicing clients through handling client phone calls and inquiries, account maintenance, providing corporate and economic research to clients and trade execution.
In addition to completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conducts and Practice Handbook (CPH), Margot has successfully completed the Level I CFA exam and is currently a Level II candidate in the CFA Program. She is also working toward the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL) to offer and assist in a wider range of services to clients.
In her personal time, Margot builds teamwork and stays active playing hockey and rugby. She often returns to visit family and friends on the east coast, where fishing, boating and Maritime affability have instilled in her a warm sense of humour and close personal rapport to compliment her dedicated professionalism.
