Dilk Dhanapala, BA(Econ), CFP®, FCSI, CIM,
Senior Investment Advisor

Dilk Dhanapala is dedicated to provide highly personalized wealth management solutions to a select group of individuals, families and corporations who are faced with the complexities of wealth. Dilk and his team utilize their vast technical knowledge to create practical and actionable strategies that provide simplicity to their clients' complex situations.    

Dilk graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Canada) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®), CERTIFIED INVESTMENT MANAGER (CIM) designations and is a FELLOW OF CANADAIN SECURITIES INSTITUTE (FCSI). He has been providing financial, investment, insurance, trust and estate planning advice to families, professionals, and business owners since 1995. Dilk has also completed the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options exams through the Canadian Securities Institute and is a licensed options trader.

When he is not working with his clients, Dilk can often been found out hiking around Southern Ontario with his wife Fiona and their family bernedoodle Layla. Dilk is a Board Director for the Art Gallery of Hamilton and enjoys the creative aspect of the gallery. Having spent a significant part of his life in England, Dilk is a lifelong soccer fan of Liverpool FC. His passion for the game translated into a love of coaching at various youth levels spreading close to two decades. Though his coaching days seem to be behind him, the time spent nurturing talent behind the bench has taught him valuable lessons that translate into his work with clients. He believes setting clear realistic goals and having a disciplined approach to achieving them makes everything is possible.

Anca Angelescu, CFP®
Investment Associate

Anca is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) who specializes in helping high net worth families, business owners, and professionals reach their financial goals. With more than 7 years of experience, Anca has been repeatedly ranked amongst the best planners at Bank of Montreal, being the recipient of the Conference of the Stars Award.
Prior to coming to Canada in 2013, Anca achieved a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Police Academy in Romania. After graduating top in her class, Anca worked for Ministry of Internal Affairs helping to mitigate organized crime. Anca’s life experience, creative approach, and keen attention to detail allows her clients to feel confident that all their options have been explored. 
In her free time, Anca is an avid theatre-goer who enjoys exploring the outdoors and discovering new food combinations with her husband Laurian and their son Sebastian.

Rupinder Kaur
Licensed Sales Assistant

Rupinder joined Dilk Advisory Group at BMO Nesbitt Burns in February this year. Before joining the practice, Rupinder worked at RBC Direct Investing at their trading desk where she was licensed to trade securities. Having completed the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options exams with the Canadian Securities Institute, Rupinder is well versed with all aspects of investing and is an important member of the team. 
Rupinder moved from India to Winnipeg in 2018 after having achieved a Masters in Electronics and Communications Engineering from one of India's premier universities. Her technical education and  trading experience provides the perfect blend of expertise to lead our client operations and trading. Rupinder's friendly nature coupled with her strong organizational skills and attention to detail are her strongest attributes our clients will benefit from.
Rupinder met her husband Kirandeep in Kitchener and moved to Ontario in 2020. During her free time, Rupinder enjoys going on road trips and exploring the outdoors. As a nature lover she enjoys hiking and camping when possible.

Tea Pupica, CPA, CA, BBA
Senior Wealth Planning Consultant at BMO Private Wealth

Tea is a member of BMO high wealth planning team and works with our in-house Tax and Estate professionals to develop effective wealth management plans. Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth in 2022, Tea spent close to 15 years in public practice, many of which were in senior tax roles in national accounting firms. As a result of this experience, Tea brings extensive knowledge in personal, corporate and trust areas of taxation. She has also executed innumerable corporate reorganizations, purchase and sale transactions, business exit strategies and compliance filings. Tea’s other experience also includes lecturing undergraduate courses at Wilfrid Laurier University and donating her time to various organizations and Boards of Directors, including Lisaard and Innisfree House and Waterloo United Soccer Club.

Jessica Williams, JD
Director, Will and Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth

Jessica is an estate and trust planning specialist who collaborates with wealth and tax planners at BMO Private Wealth to create holistic estate plans for high net worth clients at all stages of their lives.

Prior to joining BMO, Jessica practiced at a law firm in London in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, guardianships, and charities law.

Adam Carter, CPA, CA, CBV
Business Advisory & Succession Planning at BMO Private Wealth

Adam provides guidance to private business owners and families throughout Southwestern Ontario in the areas of business succession, transition, growth through acquisitions, sell-side M&A, and valuations for the purposes of welath planning and exit planning.

Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Adam worked for KPMG Corporate Finance Group for nine years, he advised private company owners across multiple industries on divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations for multiple purposes. Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, financial modeling & projections and corporate audits.

Leigh Vyn, CPA, CA, CFP®, FEA
Director, Tax Planning at BMO Wealth Management

With over twenty years of experience, Leigh understands the broad issues that wealthy families face. She helps guide families through the unique opportunities and challenges that they may be facing in the areas of tax and estate planning, corporate structuring, business succession planning, trust planning, and family goverance.

Leigh joined BMO Wealth Management in 2017. In addition to her accounting background at KPMG, she has extensive experience in the investment industry, including working at a multi-family office where she led a diverse team. Most recently, Leigh worked as a Business and Family Wealth Specialist where she focused on tax planning and wealth transfer strategies for high net worth clients and business owners. For four years, Leigh co-authored the book “Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies”.

Sandy Bell, MTI
Director, Trust Services at BMO Private Wealth

Sandy is responsible for the Estate and Trust business. Prior to joining BMO in 2014, Sandy worked for another major Canadian Trust Company for over 13 years starting as a trust administrator and working her way to a Senior Trust Officer, where she was responsible for the day to day administration of a large Estate and Trust portfolio.

Sandy is a Trust Institute member(MTI). Sandy is also a member of the Waterloo Wellington Estate Planning Council and also the Treasurer of Bedford Public School Parent Council.

Karen joined BMO Private Wealth in 2011 as a High Net Worth Planner, following progressively senior roles in the financial services industry that specialized in wealth planning, marketing and communications, and business development. In these roles, Karen engaged clients in meaningful conversations about their family’s needs and desires, providing strategies to meet their goals in the most tax-efficient manner possible, all within the framework of a comprehensive and holistic approach to wealth planning.

Stuart Clark, MTax, TEP
BMO Estate & Insurance Advisor

Stuart is a specialist at insurance based wealth and estate planning strategies.
Prior to joining BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services, Stuart worked with BMO Private Banking as a Specialized Planner – Tax to integrate comprehensive tax and wealth plans to enrich the financial success of BMO Private Banking clientele. He also acted as a consultant and instructor to financial advisors with one of Canada’s largest life insurance companies, and provided specialized taxation service with two of Canada’s large accounting firms and the Canada Revenue Agency.
Stuart is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and is Past President/Chair of the Waterloo Wellington Estate Planning Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Masters of Taxation from the University of Waterloo.

Linda Leung, CPA, TEP
Director, US Tax Planning

Linda is responsible for providing Investment Advisors and their clients with Canadian and US tax planning support. Before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Linda was a member of a global tax team at a large consulting firm where she assisted individuals in understanding the Canadian, US and international tax implications of their various forms of compensation. Prior to that, she was employed by a large, international accounting firm in their International Assignment Services and Small Business tax groups.
Linda has expertise in US personal tax matters and can provide guidance on cross-border personal income tax issues. In her previous role, Linda was also involved in the design and execution of global executive compensation and share plans.
