Dilk Dhanapala, BA(Econ), CFP, FCSI
Vice President & Investment Advisor

Dilk Dhanapala is dedicated to providing highly personalized wealth management service to a select group of individuals, families and corporations.

Dilk graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Canada) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and he is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP)® professional.  He has been providing financial, investment, insurance, trust and estate planning advice to families, professionals and business owners since 1995.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns Dilk helped mentor many successful financial advisors and built a track record of high achievement.  Dilk's advisors appreciate his client-focused approach as well as the energy and enthusiasm he brings on a daily basis.  His positive attitude and disciplined approach to helping clients achieve their goals has helped him build a practice with satisfied and financially secure clients.


Alanna Lapalme, BBA 
Associate Investment Advisor

Alanna joined BMO in Jan 2019 where she was able to quickly demonstrate her client servicing skills. Alanna’s passion to helping clients and wanting to help them with all of their financial matters led her to join our team.

Alanna is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a minor in Mathematics and International Business.  Alanna believes in continuous education and is in the process of completing many of investment industry courses to help her better advise our clients.

Alanna is a native of the Niagara Region and in her spare time enjoys hiking, travelling and trying different types of cuisine.

Leigh Vyn, CPA, CA, CFP, FEA
Director, Tax Planning at BMO Wealth Management

With over twenty years of experience, Leigh understands the broad issues that wealthy families face. She helps guide families through the unique opportunities and challenges that they may be facing in the areas of tax and estate planning, corporate structuring, business succession planning, trust planning, and family goverance.

Leigh joined BMO Wealth Management in 2017. In addition to her accounting background at KPMG, she has extensive experience in the investment industry, including working at a multi-family office where she led a diverse team. Most recently, Leigh worked as a Business and Family Wealth Specialist where she focused on tax planning and wealth transfer strategies for high net worth clients and business owners. For four years, Leigh co-authored the book “Tax Tips for Canadians for Dummies”.

Adam Carter, CPA, CA, CBV
Business Advisory & Succession Planning at BMO Private Wealth

Adam provides guidance to private business owners and families throughout Southwestern Ontario in the areas of business succession, transition, growth through acquisitions, sell-side M&A, and valuations for the purposes of welath planning and exit planning.

Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Adam worked for KPMG Corporate Finance Group for nine years, he advised private company owners across multiple industries on divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations for multiple purposes. Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, financial modeling & projections and corporate audits.

Linda Leung, CPA, TEP
Director, US Tax Planning

Linda is responsible for providing Investment Advisors and their clients with Canadian and US tax planning support. Before joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Linda was a member of a global tax team at a large consulting firm where she assisted individuals in understanding the Canadian, US and international tax implications of their various forms of compensation. Prior to that, she was employed by a large, international accounting firm in their International Assignment Services and Small Business tax groups.
Linda has expertise in US personal tax matters and can provide guidance on cross-border personal income tax issues. In her previous role, Linda was also involved in the design and execution of global executive compensation and share plans.

Landon Hang, B.Comm, MBA, JD/LL.B.
Director, Will and Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth

Landon helps our client in preparing estate plans. This includes wills, estates & trusts, business & tax planing, and other complex inssues which may be unique to each client.

Prior to joining the BMO Wealth Management Group, Landon practiced for a regional firm in the solicitors department with a focus on wills & estates, corporate commercial, and real estate law.

Katelyn Cullinton, CPA, CA, CFP, TEP
Director, Wealth Planning at BMO Private Wealth

Katelyn works with high net worth families to deliver proactive, customized wealth planning solutions, as part of an integrated team of in-house specialists. She draws on her extensive tax planning experience and analytical skills to help clients define their goals, set priorities and build a roadmap to implement their long-term plans. Katelyn has over 10 years of tax and financial planning experience.

Prior to joining BMO in 2017, she was a tax manager at a national accounting firm, where she advised business owners, farmers and other professionals on complex tax, corporate restructuring, succession and estate planning matters. Katelyn provides ongoing education to clients on tax, retirement and estate planning issues, to help them make informed financial decisions and meet their goals.

Katelyn graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) in Chartered Accountancy and Finance and a Master of Accounting (MAcc). Katelyn holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations and has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.


Stuart Clark, MTax, TEP
BMO Estate & Insurance Advisor

Stuart is a specialist at insurance based wealth and estate planning strategies.
Prior to joining BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services, Stuart worked with BMO Private Banking as a Specialized Planner – Tax to integrate comprehensive tax and wealth plans to enrich the financial success of BMO Private Banking clientele. He also acted as a consultant and instructor to financial advisors with one of Canada’s largest life insurance companies, and provided specialized taxation service with two of Canada’s large accounting firms and the Canada Revenue Agency.
Stuart is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and is Past President/Chair of the Waterloo Wellington Estate Planning Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Masters of Taxation from the University of Waterloo.

Lydia Potocnik, LL.B, TEP
Vice-President, Philantropic Advisory Services at BMO Private Wealth

Lydia assists affluent clients in building a philanthropic legacy by taking a strategic approach. She guides families through the unique opportunities and strategies that exist to create a legacy that is meaningful and lasting. Her estate planning and trust administration background allow her to also ensure that clients' philanthropic goals are part of their larger wealth and estate plan.
Lydia joined BMO Wealth Management in 2011 as a Will & Estate Planning Consultant working with clients on all aspects of their estate and trust planning. She then assumed a leadership role with BMO Trust Company where she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estate and trust administration business in Ontario. Prior to joining BMO, Lydia led a very successful philanthropy program at a major hospital foundation where she advised donors on how to build a lasting philanthropic legacy.

Charlie Difalco 
BMO Private Banker

Charlie has been in the banking industry for over a decade.  After graduating from Brock University, he began his career at BMO in 2007.  He brings his unique industry experience and passion for helping his customers to each client interaction.  He has helped numerous professionals and business owners obtain access to unique borrowing solutions that fit their custom needs. 

Charlie holds a bacelor's degree from Brock University and has obtained his FPSC Level I certificate in financial planning.  In addition, Charlie holds a mortgage agent license and a certificate in financial services advice. 

Charlie is a long-time resident of the Hamilton area and an active member of the community.  He is passionate about helping those in need.  He is a board member and the treasurer of Food4Kids Ontario, where he makes it his mission to ensure that no child in our community will go hungry.  He is family man, who enjoys spending time with his son and wife.  In his spare time, you can catch him cheering on his favourite hockey team, playing soccer or hitting up the newest restaurant in town.


Sandy Bell, MTI
Director, Trust Services at BMO Private Wealth

Sandy is responsible for the Estate and Trust business. Prior to joining BMO in 2014, Sandy worked for another major Canadian Trust Company for over 13 years starting as a trust administrator and working her way to a Senior Trust Officer, where she was responsible for the day to day administration of a large Estate and Trust portfolio.

Sandy is a Trust Institute member(MTI). Sandy is also a member of the Waterloo Wellington Estate Planning Council and also the Treasurer of Bedford Public School Parent Council.
