Carlos Casanova, BA, PFP

Wealth Advisor

I am a Wealth Advisor with over 27 years of experience in delivering financial services. Through roles in retail banking and Private Banking, I initially gained extensive knowledge in banking, mortgages, loans, and credit. Wishing to specialize in investment advisory services, I joined Nesbitt Burns and have become passionate about helping clients to meet and exceed a wide range of their financial objectives.

My credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and the Professional Financial Planning (PFP®) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2000, I was a Personal Investment Officer at Scotiabank and worked with affluent clients from around the world. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I previously worked in the Cayman Islands with the Private Banking division of Scotiabank and the Bahamas with the Private Banking division of RBC.

I value time spent with my wife, children, parents and siblings and will find any excuse to get together with them. Always one to keep healthy and fit, I grew up playing soccer and now work out at home and pursue my love for water sports through water skiing, windsurfing, and snorkeling. In summer you will see me working on my golf and tennis game; in the winter I switch to downhill skiing.
