Mr. Truchon began his career with BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Montreal and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Finance from Laval University (Honourable Mention). Mathieu was named a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute in 2008 (Fellow of CSI (FCSI®)). As a member of Association des économistes québécois, Mr. Truchon is proudly involved in his community. In this capacity, he served as chair of the Committee on Taxation and Public Finance, a member of the board of directors of Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, chair of the board of directors of Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec, vice-chair of the board of directors of the La Moisson food bank, a member of the board of directors of Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (Emploi Québec) and secretary-treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Truchon is currently vice-chair of the board of directors of the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and a member of the United Way Major Donors’ Circle.
