Robert Vogel, CIM

Portfolio Manager, Senior Wealth Advisor

Robert began his investment career with BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1994 and he holds the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) as well as Portfolio Manager (PM) designations. The PM designation enables Robert to manage portfolios on a discretionary basis for clients who do not want to be involved in day-to-day decisions regarding their portfolios. Robert is also able to offer Options trading.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns, Robert owned and operated an environmental consulting business and prior to that was a branch manager with Bank of Montreal in Toronto. He has a BA in History from Queen’s University and various business and accounting courses through the University of Toronto. He currently holds several volunteer board positions, including with the Osler Bluff Ski Club, which has been a life-long part of his and his family’s life and life-long passion for him.

Robert and his wife Nadia live in North Toronto. They have three adult children who also live and work in Toronto. Robert and Nadia love to spend their free time up in Collingwood and getting in as much skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities as possible!

Ian Butler, CFP, CIM

Portfolio Manager, Senior Wealth Advisor

Ian Butler graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Political Science. Building on this foundation, Ian pursued advanced education in finance and earned several designations, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).

As a licensed Portfolio Manager, Ian brings 20+ years of expertise in wealth management and investment strategies. In addition to his portfolio management role, Ian holds qualifications as an Options Trading Supervisor and Branch Manager, reflecting a commitment to regulatory compliance and leadership within the financial services industry.

Ian values the lasting client relationships the team has built, often spanning generations. He believes that the key to peace of mind lies in comprehensive financial planning, encompassing retirement, taxation, family considerations, and estate planning.

Ian lives in Leslieville, Toronto, with his wife, three school-aged children, and two standard poodles. Weekends are often spent driving the kids to various sporting events, skiing at Devil’s Glen, and tackling home improvement projects.

Samantha Saores

Senior Client Service Associate

Sam joined our team in February 2017, bringing with her over 15 of experience in the financial industry. 
 
Although Sam did not focus on business in her post-secondary studies, her first job after graduation was with one of Canada’s leading multi-family offices which kindled her passion for the investment field. She has since expanded her knowledge in developing, managing, and implementing wealth planning solutions for high net worth families for over 12 years. Sam describes herself as a “client quarterback” and a manager of day-to day operations.
 
Sam grew up in Scarborough and adores all that summer offers - cottage country, fishing, kayaking and every minute she can spend outdoors and on and under the water as she is an avid scuba diver. She lives in Ajax with her husband and son.

Jillian Eddy

Investment Associate

Jillian joined our team in August 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from her six years at BMO Bank of Montreal, where she most recently served as a Private Banker with BMO Private Wealth. In that role, she partnered with Investment Advisors to deliver tailored financial strategies and solutions for clients.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and combines her strong background in banking and lending with her growing expertise in wealth management, enhancing the depth of service we provide to clients. 

Outside of work, Jillian lives in Holland Landing, ON, with her husband Jon, their dog Nelson, and their two-year-old son. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors and can often be found at their family cottage in Sudbury. Jillian is also an avid snowboarder and passionate reader
