Richard Goulet, CIM, PFP

Senior Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Manager

Richard was born in the Ottawa area in 1962. He was invited to join BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1999, after completing the Canadian Securities Course along with an intensive training program. 20 years later, Richard has obtained the prestigious Senior Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager designations.
 
Richard prides himself on keeping his clients up to date on the progress of their investments through regular portfolio and performance reviews. Richard brings together BMO’s in house experts from every discipline of wealth management, incorporation, estates, trusts, insurance and banking. The development of long term relationships is a priority for Richard, and he is the advisor to the 3rd generation for many of the families that he serves.
 
When not in the office, Richard can be found playing golf, hockey and enjoying the cottage life.

Krista Guillemette, PFP

Senior Wealth Associate and Financial Planner

Krista is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Economics – Finance Specialization and Applied Studies – International Trade Specialization. Krista is the Senior Wealth Associate and Financial Planner of the Goulet Wealth Advisory Team at BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2009, Krista spent nearly 15 years working in the financial services industry, including at three of the major Canadian bank-owned investment firms.

What makes Krista a perfect fit within the Goulet Wealth Advisory Team is her shared commitment to client service and comprehensive wealth management, and her keen ability to truly listen to clients. With her extensive experience and knowledge in investment management and financial planning, Krista commits her unique skills and experiences to provide the best possible advice and service to our clients.

Krista and her husband, Adriano, are avid snowboarders and enjoy hiking, kayaking, playing board games and travelling our great country.  However, they now spend most of their spare time keeping up with their young daughter.

Pierre Bernier, CFP®, FMA

Investment Advisor, Financial Planner

Pierre has worked in the financial services industry with major Canadian banks since 1991, including 16 years as a Private Wealth Consultant. He previously worked with a boutique wealth management firm and other large Canadian banks, advising high net worth families, corporations, and institutional clients. Pierre is effective in managing complex planning scenarios with the highest professional standards and practice, and coordinates his team of experts in the areas of asset management, tax, insurance, and estate planning. Pierre has served as an executive member of the Board of Directors for the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, and has served as an Executive on the the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association board.

Pierre is a graduate from Concordia University. He holds the Certified Financial Planner, the Personal Financial Planner, and the Financial Management Advisor designations. He has also completed the Life License Qualification Program from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada and the Canadian Securities Course, the Wealth Management Techniques Course, and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, all through the Canadian Securities Institute.

Roxanne Laporte

Senior Client Service Associate

Roxanne joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1997 and has been working with Richard Goulet since 2000.  She is an Investment Representative specializing in the organization and administration of our business.  She is our expert in the area of documentation and manages daily client requests, schedules all client meetings and organizes special events, all while providing an exceptional level of customer service.  Her wealth of experience, attention to detail, and kindness and compassion towards our clients, make Roxanne an indispensable member of The Goulet Wealth Advisory Team.

Roxanne was born in Sturgeon Falls but moved to the Ottawa area at an early age. She is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor degree in Criminology.   Roxanne and her husband, Marty, live in the East end of Ottawa with their twin girls Jessica and Tracey-Anne.  During their free time they enjoy volunteer work, motorcycling and camping with family and friends.

Leveraging over 14 years of experience in the Wealth Management, Accounting & Fintech industries, Sarah brings extensive knowledge to her current role where she collaborates with a specialized team of Professionals in the areas of Taxation, Estate Law, Philanthropy and Business Succession, helping our clients improve their financial outcomes through the delivery of tailored strategies and solutions meant to enhance the structure, growth, and transfer of their Patrimony.

Before joining BMO, Sarah worked as a Private Banker and Financial Planner, helping her clients realize their vision for a lasting family legacy and broader community impact, by providing a clear roadmap that would guide every step of their financial journey. Her tenure at a Public Accounting firm as a Lead Wealth Planner saw her working alongside seasoned Tax Advisors and Accounting Partners to deliver a comprehensive service model that integrated Portfolio Management with Tax and Estate Planning.

Passionate about promoting Financial Literacy and educating the next generation, Sarah will often work with our clients’ children to improve their financial acumen and readiness to take over their family’s wealth. She is a Finance Graduate from McGill University and holds the Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Investment Manager® designations.

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, she offers her expert advice in all three languages.

Carol Willes

Director, Estate Planning

Carol brings over 30 years of legal experience with 17 years of dedicated wealth and estate planning expertise to her role. Carol came from a combination of private practice in law and consulting for clients from Asia to Europe in the areas of business structuring, succession planning and financing. She has taught both undergraduates and executives at the Queen’s University School of Business and Faculty of Law, in the fields of international business, law and ethics and most recently taught Wills and the Law of Succession to upper year law students at the University of Ottawa.

Now as Director, Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth, Carol strives to provide meaningful, client-centered advice and solutions. She helps individuals and their families build a secure and purposeful legacy and find peace of mind in the context of their entire wealth story.

Carol assists clients from many backgrounds to comprehend their present circumstances and to develop that future legacy. By helping people focus on what is most important to them – their family, their community, financial security and more – she develops distinctive estate planning options for clients as part of an integrated team of wealth planning specialists that supports those clients through their entire life journey.
