Peter Takeda

Peter Takeda, BA (Econ), CFP, CIM

Portfolio Manager & Senior Investment Advisor

With more than 30 years of investment industry experience, Peter Takeda provides affluent clients with in-depth financial knowledge and full-spectrum wealth solutions. Peter specializes in advising business owners with complex needs during all stages of their lives, from starting up and financing the company to mitigating tax, cash flow and risk, through to preparing for its sale or transfer. Peter will consider your entire financial picture to help you and your family to plan thoughtfully for the future.

Peter began his career in 1992 as an Investment Representative and an options trading specialist with TD Greenline, which is now TD Waterhouse. He joined BMO Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner in 1997. Licensed to help clients in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia, Peter created The Takeda Group in 2013.

Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Guelph and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designations. He is also qualified as a Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc.

Peter resides in Markham and has three children – Rebecca, Vanessa and Jake. For several years, Peter and his kids have volunteered together in downtown Toronto delivering Meals on Wheels for Dixon Hall, a not-for-profit that provides neighbourhood services. As a former triathlete who has participated in multiple Ironman events, Peter still runs and rides to keep fit. He enjoys spending time with family at every opportunity.

Al Ferrer

Al Ferrer, CIM

Portfolio Manager

Al Ferrer has been with BMO Financial Group since 1997. He started with BMO Bank of Montreal as a Senior Personal Banker and Investment Lending Specialist and then joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2008.

Al is responsible for our team’s investment research and oversees day-to-day management of our investment portfolios. He achieved the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation in 2012, became an Associate Portfolio Manager in 2016 and then a Portfolio Manager in 2018. His previous experience as a mortgage underwriter and lending specialist also helps to make the private banking experience seamless for our clients.

Al is a Life Insurance Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc.

A resident of Scarborough and an active member of his community, Al has participated in charitable fundraising events for Kids Help Phone, The Canadian Cancer Society and The Heart and Stroke Foundation's Ride for Heart. In his spare time, Al enjoys artistic photography, cycling and cheering on his beloved Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays.

Braeden Milburn

Administrative Assistant (not-licensed)

Joining The Takeda Group in 2022, Braeden is a recent graduate from The University of Guelph’s Lang School of Business and Economics. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, in addition to majoring in Marketing Management. Throughout his time at university, Braeden had the opportunity to Intern with BMO for both Investorline and the Corporate Sponsorship Division.

Braeden will be responsible for tending to our client’s needs, as well as supporting Sharon with daily administrative tasks. During his time off, he enjoys spending his summers at his family’s cottage and spending time on the lake. Braeden has a passion for boating, waterskiing, and wake surfing, in addition to spending the winters downhill skiing

Braeden’s work ethic, drive and passion for the business serves him well as our newest addition to The Takeda Group!

James provides estate and insurance advice to high net worth clients though sophisticated, forward-thinking wealth management planning. James offers clients informed insight across the broad spectrum of wealth and estate planning issues, leveraging advanced market experience – more than 20 years of specialized tax, estate, and insurance expertise – and a unique understanding of the financial and emotional complexities of family wealth.

He works collaboratively with his colleagues to simplify the complexities associated with wealth and offering affluent families and entrepreneurs a uniquely personalized experience. Together, they aim to help clients realize their aspirations, at all stages of life, through meaningful conversations.

Andy Guidi

Andy Guidi, CPA, CA

Director, Tax Planning

Andy is a dedicated professional helping people preserve and grow their wealth. With an expertise in Canadian income tax, Andy assists clients on business structures, succession and estate planning, owner- manager remuneration, corporate reorganizations, the appropriate use of trusts and holding companies, asset divestitures, business split-ups and a variety of other tax planning strategies.

Drawing on public practice experience, he offers a depth of practical insight, as well as the unique ability to translate complex tax concepts into efficient strategies clients can easily comprehend.

Andy joined BMO Wealth Management in 2014, after filling progressively senior management roles in the domestic tax practice of Grant Thornton LLP, where he developed and implemented tax planning strategies for business owners and high net worth individuals.

Jonathan Moras

Jonathan Morse, LL.B, LL.M, TEP

Director, Estate Planning

Jonathan works with high-net-worth clients to devise estate solutions that are right for them. He identifies concerns and helps clients navigate legal and non-legal issues to ideally avoid future estate disputes. Jonathan’s clients benefit from his insights and ability to put them at ease during an otherwise challenging conversation. He analyses facts with a good grasp of the details and overall risk factors. Jonathan helps clients to achieve their goals with practical estate and tax plan strategies. He enjoys working with individual clients as well as speaking with larger groups about the overall themes in estate planning. He is an effective and engaging communicator.

As a Director of Wealth Planning, Jonathan focuses on Estate & Trust matters. He joined the BMO in August 2015 after five years in private practice as a lawyer and another five years with a national trust company. While in private practice, Jonathan worked as an associate at an estate litigation firm. Before law school, he wrote speeches for a federal cabinet minister.

Michael Bach, CFP, TEP

Director, Wealth Planning

​Michael has over 10 years’ experience helping High Net Worth families across Canada plan for their futures, by understanding what is important to them and creating comprehensive Wealth Plans to guide them, with a focus on risk management, retirement planning, family trusts, complex corporate structures, and estate planning needs. Previously, Michael worked in a boutique insurance advisory practice focused on estate planning and life insurance solutions for High Net Worth professionals.

Michael graduated from The University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. He has a Graduate Certificate in Professional Financial Services and holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®  designation, a Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designation, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Ray Abi-Abdallah, CFP

Private Banker, BMO Private Banking

Ray has worked in the banking industry for 25 years.He has held previous roles as Finanical Planner, Branch Manager and Financial Services Manager over his tenure with the bank. As a Private Banker, Ray's responsibilities include the day-to-day banking activities of our high net worth clients including lending, mutual funds and term deposits as well as all of the axillary services offered through the bank. Ray manages a portfolio of high net worth clients for the Private Bank and its partners in the Greater Toronto Area and provides a very high level of service to his clients.

Ray holds a designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional diploma in Financial services.

Ray has worked for BMO Financial Group for 25 years.
 

Ron Goldstein

Ron Goldstein, PFP, CFA, MBA

Director, Wealth Planning

Ron has been providing financial planning and investment counseling to Canadians over the last fifteen years while working with leading financial institutions. Throughout his career, Ron has earned his clients’ trust by providing exemplary client service and deep subject matter expertise. Using a holistic approach, Ron collaborates with his colleagues in BMO Wealth Management to help clients clearly articulate their personal wealth goals.

Together, we provide a multidimensional perspective that offers a valuable complement to our clients’ other professional counsel. Ron’s goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth plans.

Carmine Bartucci

As a Private Banker at BMO Private Wealth, I advise Canadian families, professionals, business owners and executives on banking, lending and cash flow management to help them reach their business and personal financial objectives and dedicate more time to the activities they value most.
 
I take time to listen and understand each client’s circumstances, financial needs and goals – for today and the future. Then, I bring in a customized team of BMO Private Banking specialists to look at their entire financial picture. From day-to-day banking to specialized lending, we take a holistic approach to design a customized, integrated financial plan. I regularly revisit this plan and adapt it as the client transitions throughout life.
