Mike Olson, CPA, CMA

A seasoned commercial banker with over 10 years of experience managing a diverse book of business clients across many industries. Mike has a deep understanding of entrepreneur’s and business owners, and acts as a true partner and advisor on financing, treasury and banking requirements for Mid Market sized commercial customer’s. Previous to his time with BMO, Mike was also an Accountant with privately held companies as well as the investment industry. In addition to his work experience, Mike is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Saint Mary’s University (Halifax, NS), an Advanced Business Diploma from Algonquin College in Human Resources (Ottawa, Ontario) and volunteer’s his time to the community by acting as Treasurer on several Volunteer Boards.

Kristie Smith, JD, TEP

Director, Estate Planning – Atlantic Region

Kristie provides estate planning guidance to high and ultra high net worth individuals, families and business owners in the context of their personal and business wealth planning. Kristie's approach focuses on guiding clients to identify their priorities - family, philanthropy, security, etc. - and developing customized strategies and options to empower clients to achieve their financial and non-financial goals. She works collaboratively with internal and external advisors to ensure that all aspects of a client's wealth plan support their legacy goals.

Kristie brings over 10 years of legal experience, in private practice and wealth management. She has a J.D. from the University of Ottawa and a B.Sc. from McGill University, and holds the TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Estate Planning Council of Canada.

Kristie lives in St. John's, NL, with her husband and their two daughters.
