About us

Mike Veinot, CFA

Senior Investment Advisor

I am proud to be an Investment Advisor working with BMO Private Wealth – Nesbitt Burns. I have spent the previous eight years at BMO Nesbitt Burns working closely with successful individuals and their families, helping them to meet their wealth objectives while mitigating taxes and helping them understand the risks they don’t always realize they‘re taking. Prior to joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2017, I spent over 20 years in the investment industry most recently as Vice-President, Regional Sales at BMO Global Asset Management. In that role I was responsible for coaching and advising hundreds of investment advisors across all four Atlantic Provinces on how to better serve their clients. I graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a double major in Economics and Finance. I have a thirst for knowledge leading me to complete the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and I’m also a member of the local (Atlantic Canada) CFA Society. I sought out the CFA designation because it is known in the investment industry as the highest ethical standard.

I was born in Kentville, NS. I lived and breathed all sports growing up but my greatest passion was volleyball. Currently I live in Hammonds Plains, NS with my wife Jen, and daughter Cecelia. I have a dedication to construction and growth that fuels my professional life as well as my pastimes which are currently more focused around my family, landscaping and carpentry.”
