Wealth Manager, Senior Investment Advisor

Martine Tetreault has been an Investment Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2001. Including the past fifteen years at Nesbitt Burns, she has more than 20 years experience as an entrepreneur.
Her personalized approach and her rigorous work ethic have permitted her to create strong bonds with her clients in order to better tend to their needs.

She studied administration at the University of Sherbrooke and holds a certificate in Financial Planning from the Université du Québec à Laval. She is also certified as a CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and has earned the FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute) distinction. She’s also specialized to become wealth manager. She graduated with honours from the Canadian Securities course and actively pursues ongoing professional studies in order to stay abreast of world events and pertinent changes that may affect her clients’ goals.

On a personal note, she enjoys playing golf, jogging, traveling, and reading. It is very important to her to give back to the community.

Valérie Parent, CIM

Associate Investment Advisor and Porfolio Manager

Valerie graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance. She joined BMO Nesbitt Burns in June 2006. She successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course as well as the Conduct and Practices Handbook Exam. Dynamic and organized, Valerie is an associate financial advisor with strong aptitudes for communication and multitasking skills. She works actively towards the research of investment strategies and innovative solutions to help clients in achieving their financial goals. Her motivation, hard work and devotion are key values that contribute to client satisfaction.

Geneviève Blais

Sales Assistant

Geneviève joined the Tétreault Group in June 2023. She manages the team's administrative activities. With over 20 years' experience in customer service, Geneviève stands out for her efficiency, organization and dynamism.

Amel Bouazza

Investment Associate

Amel has more than 25 years of diversified experience in management, entrepreneurship and finance. She has represented multinationals and co-managed the family business for several years, developing a local and international presence. 

She received the Quebec Diversity Woman Leader Award at the first World Summit of Businesswomen in Manufacturing (SFIM) in 2019 and the Prix Performance Québec awarded by the Quebec Government in 2018. Amel holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke. She also holds a securities trading course, a mutual fund license and an insurance license.

 

In all the challenges she has taken on, she has always ensured that the customer is at the heart of her priorities, and that she puts her experience and network to good use.

Claire Blanchette

Sales Assistant

Claire recently celebrated 30 years of career with BMO. Prior to joining our team, she held numerous positions in BMO's bank branch network, including more than 20 years as an assistant manager. Claire completed her Invesment Funds Course (IFIC). She will work closely with our team to support us and our clients in daily task management.

Richard Belley, CFA

Vice-President & Strategist – Fixed Income, Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Services Group

Richard Belley has more than 14 years of experience in the fixed income and derivative product markets, including seven directly involved in consulting and portfolio management. He received a diploma in Finance from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in 1991 and holds the CFA designation.

Mr. Belley has been a member of the Portfolio Services Group (PSG) since 2001 and is involved in the development of bond investment strategies for the Private Client Division. Mr. Belley also advises and manages bond portfolios for large cap clients, professional associations, foundations, hospitals, municipalities and corporations. The PSG currently has more than $1 billion under management, of which more than $600 million is under his direct responsibility. Mr. Belley brings to the team his extensive experience of capital markets and ability to tailor solutions to meet the unique and specific needs of each client mandate, enhancing the range of services offered by our team.

As a Tax lawyer and financial planner, Zeina advises high net worth families, professionals and entrepreneurs on specialized wealth planning solutions. Whether it’s thought leadership on estate planning, new family wealth, tax planning, or philanthropy, Zeina is dedicated to simplifying complex issues and providing practical and informed strategies. Zeina joined BMO in 2011 after several years as a tax lawyer in private practice. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2001.

Olivier Paquin

Director, Tax Planning

Olivier is part of the specialized planning team within BMO Wealth Management where he acts as a tax and estate planner. His main focus is to assist high net worth clients and their families in reaching their objectives by making complex tax issues understandable, managing risks and identifying opportunities.

Olivier was called to the Quebec Bar in 2012. After completing his master’s degree in taxation, he worked for a well-known law firm based in Montreal where he advised business owners and professionals on a multitude of corporate, personal, and trust taxation issues. He also provided tax planning assistance on many corporate reorganizations, and business transfers.

Olivier joined BMO Wealth Management in 2016. He works in collaboration with professionals at BMO Private Wealth.

Ayad Charafeddine

Ayad is Senior Private Banker at our downtown Montréal office. He works with a team of passionate professionals who coordinate their efforts to help clients take full advantage of all the opportunities offered by their assets.

 

Ayad joined BMO Private Banking in 2017 and has 13 years of experience in the financial industry. During his 10 years with BMO Financial Group, he held several senior management positions. More recently, he was responsible for developing Private Banking Wealth operations in Québec.

 

Through an integrated approach, Ayad works with his colleagues at BMO Private Wealth to
develop comprehensive solutions to help clients achieve their personal wealth management
goals.


Ayad’s goal is to provide customers with comprehensive and personalized solutions and help
them navigate the complexities of their financial situation through coordinated and proactive
management plans. He knows how to manage the intricacies and complexities of wealth
management, so that clients can be confident that their goals are achievable.

Pamela has been with BMO since 2006, holding positions in financing, relationship management, direct banking and financial services. Backed by strong financial planning and financing knowledge and a wide range of products and programs, she designs personalized banking solutions based on customer needs, including financing services and small business solutions.

 

She is adept at developing proactive solutions that save time, identify inefficient financing, and maximize after tax returns.

Mathieu Lefebvre

Vice President, Business Advisory & Succession Planning

Building relationships with clients is paramount to becoming a trusted advisor. Mathieu’s goal is to develop rapport with clients through open communication, trust and exceptional service. Leaning on his diverse background and experience, Mathieu provides guidance to private business owners and families in the areas of business succession, transition, growth through acquisitions, sell-side M&A, and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and exit planning.

Prior to joining BMO Wealth Management in 2018, Mathieu has over 10 years of experience with national and Big 4 accounting firms. Working within the M&A Transaction services Group, he advised private company owners across multiple industries, with business enterprise values ranging from $3 million to +$100 million on all aspects of the M&A transaction process, from the initial analysis of financial and operational performance to the closing of the transaction (i.e. divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations). Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financings, and corporate audits.
