Andrée joined BMO in November 2015 as a Wealth Management Consultant, where she supported our teams in offering a broader wealth planning experience for their high net worth clients` needs. In addition to having earned her TEP and CFP designations, Andrée’s background includes private practice as a lawyer, and 8 years at another major financial institution as a Trusts and Estates Consultant. She was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2006, and the Nova Scotia bar in 2008. In addition, she is Past Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners` Atlantic Branch, and Past Chair of the Halifax Estate Planning Council.

Tim Brown

Tim Brown, CFP, CLU, TEP

Director, Wealth Planning

As a member of the BMO High Net Worth Wealth Planning team, Tim brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals and works with BMO Wealth Professionals and their clients to develop sound wealth management plans. Drawing on his diverse financial planning background, Tim uses his knowledge and expertise to provide strategies and support to serve the increasingly complex demands of successful clients. He is involved in the end-to-end wealth planning process to optimize all aspects of managing, preserving, enhancing, and transferring wealth.

Joe Fillmore

Senior Private Banker

Joe joined Bank of Montreal in 2010 as its senior banker for the Corporate Finance Division in Atlantic Canada; over a period of 9 years he was instrumental in more than tripling the size of BMO's corporate finance lending portfolio across all four Atlantic Provinces. In 2019 Joe joined the Private Wealth team with a focus on the Ultra High Net Worth Market.

 

Prior to joining BMO, Joe worked for a European bank as their Canadian Head tasked with obtaining their banking license, setting up operations and national business development in the seafood, offshore vessel and renewable energy sectors. For the preceding 10 years Joe worked for a Canadian chartered bank in their mid-market commercial group and held progressively senior positions within relationship management, sales management, and credit structuring. Prior to entering the banking industry Joe served 11 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force.

 

Joe has a Masters of Business Administration from Dalhousie and a honours undergraduate degree in economics and mathematics from Acadia University

Kara Craig

Senior Private Banker

Kara has been with Bank of Montreal since 1985, joining BMO Private Banking in 2015.  Kara has over 30 years of experience managing relationships with retail, commercial and private banking client in Canada and additional cross border banking arrangements in the Unities States.  Through Kara, clients can access an array of customized, integrated banking solutions for individuals, executives, holding companies, practices and professional corporations.


Kara helps high-net worth clients develop and implement customized and integrated wealth management solutions, ranging from Private Banking to Investment, Trust and Estate Planning Solutions.  Her experience has taught her that every client is unique and she has been able to provide solutions specific to their requirements.  She is highly committed to developing relationships built on trust.  A native of New Brunswick, Kara was raised in Halifax, NS.  She is the proud Mom of sons, Ben and Jasper.

Jeff Robichaud

Senior Private Banker

Jeff began his career with Bank of Montreal in February 2004.  He has held a variety of positions and has developed a well-rounded skill set of financial expertise. 

In his current role as a Senior Private Banker, Jeff helps high-net worth clients develop and implement customized and integrated wealth management solutions, ranging from Private Banking to Investment, Trust and Estate Planning Solutions.  His experience has taught him that every client is unique and he is able to provide solutions specific to their requirements.

Jeff graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.  He enjoys many sports, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
 

Paul Wylie, CIMA

Head, BMO Family Office

Paul is Head of BMO Family Office, Canada. The integrated services team serves the wealth professionals throughout BMO Private Wealth by providing solutions to their Ultra HNW individuals, businesses, and family offices to support their financial planning, tax & estate, investment, philanthropic, and risk & capital needs.

In this role, Paul focuses on fully developing and executing the “go to market” strategy to grow the business. This includes formalizing the value proposition to clients, partners and talent. He focuses on the client experience, including client acquisition and the overall client relationship management process and service model in partnership with BMO Private Wealth advisors.

Paul joins the BMO Family Office team with 25+ years of domestic & international experience managing business development, people development, and sales & service at various financial institutions. He is client-centric and performance-oriented, with extensive experience around investments in the UHNW and Family Office space. Prior to BMO, Paul spent time mentoring, coaching, and consulting in the financial services field. Paul also held senior management roles at Scotiabank, ScotiaMcLeod International, TD Waterhouse, and IPC Securities.

Paul currently sits on the board of Capital Direct Income Trust. He is immensely proud of his time and effort spent supporting community causes that range from the United Way, Oshawa Hospital (Cancer Care) Foundation, and First Peoples’ Truth & Reconciliation efforts. Paul earned a BA from the University of Toronto and has completed his CIMA and Investment Management Consulting from the Wharton School of Business.

between Fenelon Falls and downtown Toronto, Paul and his wife have 2 children studying at university. When possible, he finds time to golf, ski, and cheer on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Neil Hershcovitch

Chief Operating Officer BMO Family Office

Neil is Chief Operating Officer, & Head, Investment Platforms for BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and capital needs.

In this role, Neil is responsible for all operational management of the Family Office business, together with the continued development of the Canadian Investment platform, and delivery of an integrated North American offering for Family Office and Ultra High Net Worth clients.

Prior to this, Neil was Head of Investments, and lead architect for the development of the Family Office platform in Canada, with responsibility for setting overall strategy for this key priority segment.

Neil joined BMO in 2011 as Managing Director, Corporate Finance, in the Vancouver office. As part of the Diversified Industries group, Neil originated and structured debt financings across a range of sectors including hospitality, distribution, healthcare, and insurance. In 2019, Neil moved into BMO Wealth Management.

Prior to BMO, Neil was in London, UK, at Barclays Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland Global Markets, and worked across Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, and Prime Brokerage.

Neil sits on the Genesis Next Generation Board of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, and the Investment Committee of Associated Hebrew Schools, Toronto. He holds a Bachelor of Honors in Business & Management from Liverpool John Moores University, England, and now resides in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Shannon Kennedy

Global President Of BMO Family Office

Shannon M. Kennedy is the Global President of BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and capital needs.

Shannon brings 30+ years of experience to her role leading our ultra-affluent client group which has over 120 employees across the United States and Canada. She also serves as Chair of the Board of BMO Delaware Trust Company.

Prior to joining BMO, Shannon served as President: US Markets-Southwest for BNY Mellon. In this role, she oversaw the development and implementation of strategic priorities, hiring and execution around the client experience. Previously, she served as Global Director of sales, marketing and portfolio management at The Northern Trust Company, where she spent 26 years advising wealthy families. Shannon received her bachelor’s degree and MBA with distinction from Loyola University of Chicago. Her numerous professional recognitions include being named the winner of the Women in Wealth Management award by the Family Wealth Report, a top 25 Wealth Manager by Private Asset Management, and listed among Crain’s Chicago Magazine’s “40 under 40.” Shannon serves on the Advisory Board of the Ultra-High Net Worth Institute.

Shannon is a Trustee of the Field Museum and sits on the Board of Advisors for the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University of Chicago. She is also a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow. Shannon is a member of both the University of California-Irvine’s CEO Executive Roundtable and the Belizean Grove. She previously served on the Executive Committee of the Girl Scouts of Orange County and the Women’s Philanthropy Fund. While in Orange County, she was recognized as a top community influencer and was included for several years in the Orange County 500 list of top executives.

Husayn Sidi

Director, BMO Family Office

Husayn is a Director on the BMO Family Office Team where he is the primary contact for wealth professionals outside of the Quebec Market. He is responsible for coordinating the delivery of a specialized suite of services across investments, philanthropy, family governance, planning, and other areas of the business.

Prior to joining the Family Office Team, Husayn was a Partner in a family manufacturing business in charge of leading the growth of the US Business. Prior to this, Husayn spent 10 years in BMO’s Commercial business in various roles, including as Director, Diversified Industries – Corporate Finance Division, where he was responsible for the portfolio management of large public and private companies, and the credit underwriting of complex transactions.

Husayn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from McGill University and was awarded the Dean’s Honour List and is a McGill University Scholarship Recipient. Husayn resides in Toronto.

Arthur Diochon, CFA

Head, Alternatives Research, Family Office Canada

Arthur has over a decade of experience in the investment industry across all asset classes. As BMO’s Head of Alternative research, he is responsible for providing insight, support and research on the alternative asset class. These responsibilities include alternative portfolio construction for UHNW clients, maintenance of the recommended list and product shelf.

Prior to BMO, Arthur spent over 7 years of his career in a client facing & portfolio management role at another major financial institution. As a result, Arthur has a unique understanding of how alternatives are designed to fit within a broader portfolio to minimize risk and maximize return.

Arthur is a Charter Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Personal Financial Planner. Arthur’s commitment to a variety of education emphasizes his commitment to thinking broadly while specializing in the unique alternative asset class.

Shelley Forsythe, FEA, TEP, CFP

Director, Family Enterprise Planning

Shelley is the Director of Family Enterprise planning at BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs.

She provides clients, families and enterprises with strategic guidance on their master plan of personal, financial, family and enterprise goals. This process guides them to navigate towards what’s important and enables them to make purposeful decisions regarding their wealth and legacy. Shelley takes an in-depth approach to gain insight into each client’s overall goals and intentions to customize intergenerational options and solutions. She specializes in facilitating family governance and legacy conversations to promote education, harmony and effective communication across generations.

Of paramount importance to Shelley is maintaining client confidentiality and creating a realistic timeline and roadmap to implement immediate and long-term priorities. She frequently collaborates with a client’s advisory team of trusted advisors to facilitate the implementation and coordination of frameworks, processes, and accountabilities.

Shelley has been in the financial services industry for 30 years. Her experience includes banking, investment management, financial planning, trust company and family office experience. She has earned eight professional designations in various disciplines, including the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Master Financial Advisor-Philanthropy (MFA-P).

Shelley’s goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth and legacy plans.

Alexander Jansen

Investment Strategist, Family Office

Alexander is the Investment Strategist for the BMO family Office. He is responsible for Ultra High Net Worth client asset allocation, portfolio construction, with an emphasis on alternative investments and enhanced portfolio reporting.

Prior to BMO, Alexander was at UBS Wealth Management for 11 years, working across trading, portfolio management and alternative investments. He led a number of fundraisings for Private Equity at the firm as well as other alternative managers. He also worked with clients developing portfolios using cross asset solutions.

Alexander is a Chartered Financial Analyst and completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto. He resides in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Marvi Ricker

Managing Director, BMO Family Office

Marvi is the Managing Director of Family Philanthropy & Legacy planning at BMO Family Office, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs.

She provides clients with strategic guidance to help give meaningful expression to their wealth. Marvi brings to client engagements a depth of insight and an acute understanding of family dynamics and conflict resolution. Drawing on her credibility and longevity in the charitable sector, Marvi helps clients choose effective strategies to build a successful and lasting philanthropic legacy.

Marvi joined BMO in 2002, following 12 years as Executive Director of The Richard Ivey Foundation, where she oversaw the strategic direction of the charitable organization and helped establish its national presence. Previously, she was the Director of the Public and Community Relations Department at the University of Toronto.

Marvi earned her Master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Toronto. She is a Family Firm Institute (FFI) Fellow and a recipient of the FFI’s Family Wealth Advising Certificate. Marvi has served on many local and national boards, among them: University of Toronto Governing Council, Toronto General & Western Hospitals Foundation, National Museum of Science and Technology, Ontario Living Legacy Trust, and Women in the Lead.

Kevin Malone

Managing Director, BMO Family Office

Kevin is a Managing Director with BMO Family Office, a group formed in 2020 to advise BMO Private Wealth’s highest value clients.

Kevin joined BMO Private Banking in 2009 and has held numerous leadership positions, including having responsibility for the overall leadership and strategy of our Ultra High Net Worth business in the Greater Toronto market.

Previously, Kevin spent 24 years at BMO Capital Markets where he was a lead advisor to companies across several industry sectors with respect to mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and debt and equity financings. With over 35 years advising corporate and Ultra High Net Worth clients, Kevin has extensive experience working with families who have complex wealth management needs.

Kevin has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University.

Kevin is also very actively involved in the community, serving as:

Director of the Canadian Canoe Museum and Chair of its Finance and Fundraising Committees;

Trustee of Lakefield College School;

Past Director and President of Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme’s National Board;

Past fundraising committee member for several not-for-profit organizations, including the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Stratford Express and Dixon Hall.

Kevin is a recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal (2002) and the Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012).

Kevin and his wife, Mona, are proud parents to three young adults, and as a family are actively involved in amateur sports, the arts, travel and numerous charitable organizations.
