Julie Delaney

Senior Wealth & Investment Advisor

My mission is to bring my clients comfort, reassurance and security as they pursue their current and long-term wealth goals. Having gone through challenging experiences such as losing my father at a young age, having to manage my mother's finances and being a single parent, I understand how complicated and overwhelming life can be.

I ask questions and listen to my clients wishes & concerns; I am able to provide solutions with a holistic approach. With a premium boutique service model, I provide business owners, professionals and retirees with personalized, structured portfolios. Retirement and estate planning strategies with tax-efficient cash flows, education funding and philanthropy are corollary services I provide. By working closely with my BMO Private Wealth network of specialists I am able to provide a wide range of services all tailored to meet each client’s needs. Capital preservation, growth and wealth transfers to the next generation are designed to bring clients ease and peace of mind.

One of my greatest rewards has been educating women in finance to envision their own success and independence in managing their own wealth. Today, more than half of my clients are women. In 2022, I participated in a podcast entitled The Bold(h)er (Les audacieuses), organized by BMO for Women in Quebec. I love knowing that my audience is mostly women who are eager to learn and receive advice.

I began my investment career in 1988 and have been with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 1993. I attended McGill and Concordia Universities and speak English, French and Italian.

In my community, I have served as a volunteer coach for the City of Westmount Girls’ Soccer league and have offered career path advice to students through the McGill Mentor Program. My personal passions are my family, hosting dinners, gardening, cycling, yoga and water skiing. Staying active keeps my mind clear and keeps me calm.

I love what I do and I consider myself very fortunate to help people achieve their visions of success. My ultimate goal is to inspire more women to join the financial industry.

Karen Morrissette

Investment Representative

After completing my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Simon Fraser University, I decided to pursue a career in the world of finance. Having been in the industry and with Nesbitt Burns since 2000 and completing my Canadian Securities Course in 2003, my experience has not only help answer the needs of clients but also enabled me to really connect and provide them with a strong sense of security. Client’s trust and confidence is my priority.

I am actively involved in various volunteering programs. Within BMO Nesbitt Burns, I am currently part of the Sales Assistant Advisory Committee as well as a number of pilot projects which aims at continuously bettering our client’s experience. Outside of the firm, I and very involved with the Pierrefonds Minor Hockey Association as well as the Pierrefonds Baseball Association.

It is always a pleasure touching base with our clients and am very proud to be part of Delaney Investment Group.
