Geoff Griffis

Geoff Griffis joined BMO Private Wealth in March 2023. In his role as an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner, he provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to high-net-worth individuals and families. 

Geoff has over 10 years of investment management and banking experience. Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth, Geoff worked for a major financial institution where he gained extensive experience in investment management and client relationship development. He has a proven track record in delivering strong results, with significant success in achieving industry-leading client satisfaction. 

Geoff originally planned a career in law enforcement, earning his Police Foundations Diploma at Confederation College and then completing a Bachelor of Arts at Lakehead University. He decided to pursue a career in finance and earned a Certificate in Leading with Finance from the Harvard Business School. To enhance his professional skills and development, he earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) Designation from the Canadian Securities Institute and the Chartered Financial Planning® Designation from the Chartered Institute of Financial Planning. 

Geoff enjoys taking his dog Samson for walks to find squirrels and spending time on his boat fishing Lake Ontario.

John is an experienced business advisor and brings a broad base of technical and business planning experience to BMO Wealth Management. John offers individuals and business owners expertise in business succession, transition, sale, M&A, insurance and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and transfer.

John has over 15 years of experience primarily in the Big 4 professional services firms, as well as experience in a family owned private business. Within professional practice, John has lead a significant number of complex business valuations and business advisory engagements for private and public companies involved in a variety of industries in connection with M&A, corporate reorganizations & income tax planning, shareholder disputes, corporate finance activities, as well as succession, tax & estate planning for private business owners.

Rhonda began her career in the financial services industry in 2001 and joined BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services in 2013. A CFP® professional, Rhonda employs a comprehensive process to understand and assess your wealth management needs. Her objective is to ensure you meet your specific goals for building, preserving and passing on your wealth.

Where appropriate, insurance-based strategies are implemented to provide tax sheltered investment accumulation, mitigate financial risk, create tax-efficient income, and reduce investment and estate taxes.

Karen advises high net worth families and business owners on comprehensive wealth planning solutions, as part of an integrated team of Wealth Consultants and in-house technical specialists. Drawing on extensive financial product expertise and planning acumen, Karen helps clients articulate and understand their unique objectives for accumulated wealth. A skilled listener, she acts as a value-add resource for Investment Advisors and their clients, ultimately providing a blueprint from which to execute a customized – and optimized – wealth plan.

Karen joined BMO Wealth Management in 2011, following progressively senior roles in the financial services industry, specializing in wealth planning, marketing and communications, and business development. In her previous role, she worked as a Vice President for a private investment counsel firm where she provided high net worth clients with comprehensive wealth planning and investment counselling services.

Born and raised in Toronto Heather has worked for BMO for more than 20 years. She has a breadth of banking experience within BMO Bank of Montreal which includes both personal and commercial banking as well as branch management. 

Heather resides in midtown Toronto and enjoys spending time exploring the city with her husband, Alex, and dog, Lucy.

David joined Private wealth in 2022 after 9 years in banking, most recently as a branch manager. With a deep network in the bank, David draws on the right expert, bringing timely and exceptional resolutions to any need. He is an avid outdoorsman and curler, enjoying time on a hike or in the outdoors with his wife and two kids.
