I was inspired to become a wealth advisor by my father, Cam Bower, and his amazing entrepreneurial clients who were truly passionate about their businesses. After completing a Business Diploma at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST), I went on to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Finance at the University of Regina.
 
During this time, I started working part-time for Cam at BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2004, preparing client reports, solving client reporting issues, and improving the team’s communications and marketing. In 2008, I proudly teamed up with Cam officially to create Bower & Associates. Today I am proud to say we make an efficient team that helps ultra-affluent clients to manage their complex wealth needs effectively, seamlessly and enjoyably.

I am a constant learner who is always seeking new information. Given the chance, I would get lost analyzing spreadsheets for hours. I enjoyed obtaining the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and becoming “a regular” at the Canadian Securities Institute, where I completed the LLQP Insurance, Advanced Investment Strategies, Canadian Securities, Conducts and Practices Handbook, Portfolio Management Techniques, Wealth Advisory Wealth Management Essentials courses. 
For several years I was an MS Bike Tour Team Leader and I formerly mentored Regina’s vulnerable inner-city youth at Mother Teresa Middle School and served as a United Way Employee Giving Ambassador. Family time is the single most important priority in my life – I won’t let many things take me away from my wife Joanna and our daughters, Willa and Winnifred. My favourite place is our family cottage at Saskatchewan Beach on Last Mountain Lake. I love being on the water with the kids, tubing, swimming and re-learning how to wakeboard. I also love cycling, snowboarding, reading, and tinkering.

As Bower & Associates’ organizational engine, Kristin provides top-tier administrative support that enables our team to provide world-class service and execution. She really cares about our clients, so she enjoys talking to them and assisting them. We have received unsolicited feedback saying that Kristin makes people feel awesome and it’s as if they have known her for years.
 
Very detail-oriented, Kristin organizes and schedules about 200 meetings a year, prepares and coordinates documents meticulously, and runs the trading desk for the institutional side of our business.

Kristin has been working with BMO Nesbitt Burns since 2011 and joined Bower & Associates in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Regina and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) with the Canadian Securities Institute. In her free time, Kristin loves reading historical fiction, travelling the globe and doting on her two small dogs. She has recently discovered a love for cooking and enjoys trying out new recipes on her fiancé.
