Stephen Biddle, CIM, B.Comm.

Portfolio Manager & Wealth Advisor

Stephen has been providing top quality investment service and advice to clients since 1993.

Stephen graduated from the University of Alberta in 1988 where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction. Stephen has his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation. The Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation is a leading industry standard for discretionary investment and portfolio management services. It ensures that advisors have the knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage all aspects of a client’s investment portfolio. 

With over two decades of experience, Stephen’s comprehensive knowledge and commitment to superior customer service has built many trusted, long-lasting relationships. As a dedicated investment professional, Stephen devotes his time to crafting, implementing, and monitoring client solutions which are customized to their unique needs. Stephen has successfully navigated his clients' financial well-being through a number of market downturns- protecting and growing their wealth over the past many years. He enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. 

Ken Johnston, CIM, B.Mgmt.

Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Advisor and Wealth Advisor

Ken has been working for BMO Nesbit Burns since January 2007.

Ken is a Portfolio Manager who responsible for the day to day management of our managed portfolios. Ken believes strongly in The Traders Edge: Thinking in Probabilities. If you always go for a reward that is at least twice as big as your risk, you will have a positive Trader’s Equation and your investment is mathematically sensible.

Ken understands all things being equal, people will do business with, and refer business to, those people they know, like, and trust.

Ken is driven by his passion to constantly learn and try to be a better person every single day.  Kens’ passions include family time, travelling, sports and cooking.

Lisa Garnett

Investment Representative

Lisa is responsible for overseeing account operations and managing the complex flow of client documentation to ensure client day-to-day needs are met in a timely and professional manner. She assists our clients with a wide array of administrative matters including transfers, withdrawals, account documentation and maintenance.

Lisa has worked for the past 30 years in the financial service industry with BMO, taking on such roles as Customer Service Representative, Personal Banker, Assistant Manager and Executive Assistant. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Branch Compliance Officer’s Course, Personal Financial Counselling Diploma and Investment Funds in Canada. Delivering exceptional client service is something Lisa prides herself in.

She enjoys cross country skiing with her husband. They also travel together and with their two children. Lisa also likes to get into a good book and spending time with her Maltese.

 

Ashley Nichols

Sales Assistant

As Communications Officer, Ashley is the primary contact for our team. She manages our team’s schedules and ensures our clients have a positive experience in their dealings with us through touch base phone calls and email communications. She is also essential behind the scenes as she maintains our social media presence, website, presentations and marketing materials.

Ashley has been in the financial industry since 2007. She completed her Animation, Art and Design diploma at the Art Institute of Vancouver, and has since tried to find ways to incorporate creative aspects to her administrative work. She has completed both the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH).

Family means everything to Ashley and she loves to vacation with her husband and two daughters to the best theme parks they can find. She is an avid gamer and comic book enthusiast and hopes to continue working on her art independently.

Tina Dahl

Mortgage Specialist

Tina has more than 15 years of consumer lending experience and is very knowledgeable in BMO Bank of Montreal mortgage solutions.

 

She is a service oriented mortgage professional who is ready to advise you from start to finish, from the comfort of your own home!

Mo is passionate about helping people becoming more knowledgeable and confident about their finances. He draws on extensive financial planning experience. With robust analytical skills, he leverages the knowledge and expertise of our in-house tax, estate, insurance and philanthropic professionals. Mo advises high net worth families and business owners on complex issues. This includes retirement and income planning, tax planning, cash management, business succession, estate planning, and charitable giving.

Nina Wood

Nina has been in the business since 2005, joining BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services in 2015. With an entrepreneurial background in running businesses since 2001, Nina knows not only what it takes to build and grow a business, but has also experienced firsthand the financial hardships that occur when a family member or business partner suffers from sickness or dies prematurely.
 
Nina will discuss your needs with your Investment Advisor and will develop an estate plan that complements your current financial situation and communicates your wishes for the future. She will show you how an insurance strategy can preserve or enhance your estate, provide protection and risk management solutions in the event of critical illness or disability, and look after your family in the event of your untimely death.

Shawna Albornoz, MTI, TEP

Vice President, Trust Services, BMO Trust Company

Shawna Albornoz is the Vice President of Trust Services (Prairies) with BMO Trust Company, the fiduciary arm of the BMO Financial Group. Shawna has been in the Estate and Trust Industry since 2001 and she has administered over 130 Estate, Trust, Power of Attorney, and charitable foundation accounts during her career.
 
Through her experience as a corporate Executor and Trustee for high net worth clients, she has acquired the expertise to help families effectively plan for the transfer of wealth to the next generation and deal with all fiduciary responsibilities. Shawna holds her MTI designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, she is a member of The Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP), an international professional organization dedicated to promoting financial and estate planning considerations between generations and is a member of the Calgary Estate Planning Council (EPC).

Jennifer Muscoft, CPA, CA, TEP

Jennifer works as part of a collaborative team of wealth planning professionals to assist individuals and business owners with comprehensive tax and estate planning. Drawing on her years of experience in public practice, Jennifer works closely with clients to provide guidance tailored to their specific tax and estate planning needs.

Jennifer is a CPA, CA with over 16 years of experience. Prior to joining BMO, Jennifer was a Senior Tax Manager at one of the largest international accounting firms in Edmonton where she advised a variety of clients in the
areas of tax, estate, retirement and financial planning. Jennifer is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Edmonton Branch and is a member of the Edmonton Estate Planning Council.

Gayle has over 20 years of experience in the area of wills, estates and trusts. She joined BMO as a Trust Officer in 2002 and was responsible for the administration of many estates and trusts until she began assisting BMO clients with their planning in 2010.

Gayle is committed to continuing education in this ever changing area of wealth planning. In addition to discussing the technical issues, Gayle enjoys passing on helpful practical information that she has gained over her many years of experience administering estates and trusts.

Kimiko is an experienced business advisor who brings more than 10 years of technical and business planning expertise to BMO Wealth Management.
Kimiko joined BMO Wealth Management in 2018 after more than a decade as a mid-market M&A advisor at a Big 4 professional services firm. With a focus on sell-side advisory services for private Alberta-based companies, Kimiko has worked with companies in a range of industries including oil and gas services, manufacturing, distribution and construction. Kimiko has advised on complex transactions including sales to financial and strategic buyers, management buyouts, and shareholder disputes.
