Her career includes roles as an Investment Advisor, Financial Consultant, Financial Planner, and Estate & Trust Advisor. Drawing on this extensive experience, Jennifer delivers sophisticated, tailored solutions that provide clarity and confidence, empowering clients to achieve their long-term financial objectives.
Jennifer has achieved a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
Vicki Xu, JD, TEP
Estate Planning Consultant
Vicki advises high net worth individuals and families on estate and trust planning as part of BMO Private Wealth’s integrated Wealth Planning team. She works closely with clients to develop tailored estate planning strategies that preserve wealth and facilitate the efficient transfer of assets across generations.
Called to the Bar as a lawyer in British Columbia and an accredited Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Vicki advises on a wide range of estate planning matters, including probate fee planning, trust planning, business succession planning, and Will Variation claims. She collaborates with multi-disciplinary professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to clients’ unique needs and objectives.
Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth, Vicki practised law at a boutique full-service law firm and served as a Senior Trust Officer with a large national trust company. Her experience in trust and estate administration provides valuable insight into the practical challenges of estate implementation, enabling her to identify and address potential planning issues before they arise.
Vicki is fluent in Mandarin and conversant in Cantonese.
Suki Chahal
Senior Wealth Planning Consultant at BMO Private Wealth
As a member of the BMO High Net Worth Wealth Planning team, Suki brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals and works with BMO financial professionals and their clients to develop sound wealth management plans. She provides support and direction around complex issues such as retirement and income planning, tax planning, cash management, business succession, transition planning, estate and gift planning, and charitable giving.
Experience and background
Suki is originally from the UK where she completed her BA (Hon.) degree in Public Administration
and Managerial Studies. She moved to British Columbia in the mid 90s and lives in Richmond with her husband, three sons and dog Alfie. Suki has over twenty years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to working with BMO, she worked at several major Canadian banks in banking, financial planning and insurance advisory roles.
Suki brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the wealth planning role. She has the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS™) and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC®) designations, and is working towards the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. Suki is also a former recipient of the Leslie Dunstall Award for BC.
