Ali Edgell

Senior Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment & Wealth Advisor

Ali started her career 28 years ago and just celebrated her 25 year anniversary with BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2021.
 
Ali has achieved the senior designation of the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the industry’s highest mark of distinction.  Representing individual integrity and absolute professionalism, the FCSI designation is reserved for financial professionals who have met stringent standards for advanced education, experience and ethical conduct.  Ali is also licensed as a Senior Portfolio Manager for clients who do not wish to be involved in the day-to-day investment decisions.  Ali is also a licensed financial planner.
 
Ali is a member of the BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor’s Advisory Council.  This advisory council is made up of 12 hand picked advisors from across Canada to work with the Executive management team in order to enhance the client experience through improvements to business operations.
 
Closer to home, Ali was a Rotarian including Past-President of the Victoria Club and a multiple Paul Harris award recipient. In her personal time, Ali and her husband, Paul, lead active lives with their three Labrador retrievers.  Ali competes in agility and, scent detection and, enjoys training non-competitively in rally and obedience.
 
Ali likes to think of herself as a retirement strategist.  Clients who are retired want to ensure financial security for themselves and their family whilst minimizing tax.  Clients who aren’t retired may be thinking about how much they need in order to achieve their goals for the future.  Whatever the retirement stage, Ali and her team have the ability to help make it a financial success.
