Bill started and ran two businesses before joining Nesbitt Burns in 1996. Embracing the entrepreneurial spirit, Bill felt his best opportunity was in the burgeoning investment business and has never looked back. In his over 25 years as a professional Investment Advisor, Bill has not only built a successful book of business with a small and efficient team, he has kept up with the changing environment with numerous accreditations including Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP), Partners, Directors and Senior Officers (PDO), and his Insurance and Options designations. Along with these certifications, Bill has been involved in branch management through to the end of 2020.

Additionally from 2011 to 2013, Bill took on the role of Manager of National Sales. He was also a member of a group of senior managers and Investment Advisors who developed Nesbitt Burns’ strategy to define a great client experience. In 2020 he renewed his focus on helping his clients build, manage, and protect their wealth.

Bill attended Upper Canada College and then graduated from the University of Toronto. He is an avid sailor and hunter and enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, particularly being near water. He and his wife Sandy reside in Stouffville. They have three kids named Lauren, Andrew, and Kennedy.

Larry Moncik, MBA, CFA

Larry Moncik’s career began as an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager with a large international insurance company, where he gained expertise in equities, fixed income, both in the public and private loan space, and money market securities. Between his initial career and joining BMO Nesbitt Burns in 1996, he initiated a number of entrepreneurial business ventures, where his experience with small business has led to a practical and realistic appreciation of today’s business environment.

Larry’s practice includes all aspects of investment management, with personalization of investment strategies based on a client’s risk preferences, investment “personality”, short and long term investment objectives, and personal and family circumstances.

Larry has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is licensed as a Portfolio Manager. He has earned his B. Comm. degree at the University of Toronto and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

He and his wife, Bonnie reside in Toronto and they are particularly proud of their two sons and five grandchildren.

With over 50 years of experience in the investment industry covering sophisticated equity and option trading , institutional bond trading and sales in both Canada and the US, and Portfolio and Asset Management, Ian Leith’s conservative, long-term approach to investing has led to generational client satisfaction. Ian specializes in conservative wealth and portfolio and asset mix management . Ian’s team ensures each client’s retirement and estate plan are correctly positioned to their unique financial situation and risk tolerance.

Ian holds a BA in Economics from Waterloo Lutheran University and an MBA degree from the University of Toronto. While at the University of Toronto he had a working paper on the “Risky Shift Phenomenon” published which became an essential component of his investment philosophy. The knowledge he gained from this research impacts the way he approaches security selection by considering the decision-making processes of corporations he invests in with the goal of reducing risk. Ian was a founding member of the Canadian Chapter of the Investment Management Consultants Association (Investments and Wealth Institute) a not-for-profit educational organization providing ongoing education to Investment Management Consultants Internationally. Ian is a licensed Portfolio Manager and a Life Insurance Advisor.

Ian was raised in Toronto where he currently resides. He has three children and three grandchildren. Outside of market hours, Ian enjoys golfing, working out, spending time at his farm in the Collingwood area and watching his grandson play hockey.

Senior Investment Associate

Samia has spent 20 years in the financial industry helping clients reach their desired goals. She works closely with Bill to develop and monitor client wealth plans as well as provide client service, and invest client portfolios. She is also responsible for coordinating with our other Partners in the firm.

Samia has an MBA in Marketing from Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan. She has also achieved the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation and completed the Financial Planning Supplementary Course.

Senior Wealth Associate

Daniela works closely with Bill and Larry's clients. She provides clients with personalized and comprehensive advice on investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, business succession planning, philanthropy, and tax minimization strategies. She emphasizes getting to know her clients and their families, appreciating their goals, concerns, wants and needs. Daniela helps them ask the right questions: Do they have enough to retire? Are they protected with sufficient insurance?  Is their wealth transfer plan accurate and comprehensive? For almost 20 years, Daniela has helped families answer these critical questions and developed appropriate strategies to reach their unique goal.

Daniela started her career at Bank of Montreal in 1998 and joint BMO Nesbitt Burns in 2000. She is Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and holds Securities and Options License. She successfully completed Wealth Advisory Program and earned her Wealth Advisor credentials. Daniela holds a Masters degree in Psychology and Speech Pathology from Charles University in Prague.

She is a proud mother of two children Nathalie and Adam. In her spare time, she enjoys downhill skiing, golfing, traveling and spending time with her family.

Sue has been in the investment industry for her entire career, she has been with Nesbitt for almost 30 years. She loves the markets, and the opportunity it has given to her for continual learning.

She is a proud Mother and Grandmother who enjoys skiing, scuba diving and reading.

Anastasia Kavytska

Anastasia started her career with one of the “Big 4” accounting firms & later on leading securities settlement operations for an American owned broker dealer firm in Ukraine. Anastasia also worked as a Portfolio Associate in New York, helping with portfolio construction & analysis. Anastasia joined BMO Bank of Montreal as a Financial Planning Associate in 2019 until joining the Brown Moncik Leith Wealth Advisory Group in 2021.

Anastasia holds Masters degree in International Business Management from National Technical University of Ukraine. She completed Level 1 of the CFA program & is studying towards the CIM designation.

Cam joined the Brown Moncik Leith Wealth Advisory Group in early 2022, having previously worked at Mackenzie Investments in Client Relations and part of their Internal Wholesaler program. He is responsible for client service, acting as a liaison between the Investment advisor and our clients.

Cam attended the University of British Columbia where he earned a degree in Management with a specialization in Finance. Cam has successfully completed his Canadian Securities and Conduct & Practices Handbook courses.

When not in the office, Cam can be found skiing across Canada in the winter and golfing in the summer.
