We can offer the traditional commission for transaction accounts, however we prefer fee-based accounts MPA, Architect, Quadrant, and Blueprint that employ professional money managers to diversify your portfolio providing the potential for superior long-term returns with reduced risk. Or, with Meridian you can still choose what to buy, but pay a management fee based on market value of your assets rather than commission per transaction.

For high net worth clients who want to delegate the day to day decision making, Ron and Neil can provide a discretionary service called a Managed Portfolio Account to manage investments according to your Investment Policy Statement. This may appeal to clients who only want monthly statements and quarterly reviews, but do no want to make all the investment decisions in between.

As part of a top firm, we also have access to a powerful retirement analysis software program called WealthPath. We will chart a course, outlining the steps required to achieve your financial and retirement goals. With a minimum investment of your time, WealthPath , generates an illustrated analysis that is completely customized to reflect your current circumstances, your anticipated savings rate, and your investment objectives.

Ronald Alexander

Senior Investment Advisor, Senior Portfolio Manager

Ronald is a graduate of Queen’s University in Chemical Engineering and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) with Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and Portfolio Manager (APM) designations. With over 40 years of experience in the investment industry, as well as 10 years in the oil and gas, forestry and environmental industries, Ronald brings comprehensive knowledge, superior customer service, and reliable investment advice to his clients.

Ron is an avid golfer, enjoying time outdoors, visiting the West Coast and traveling abroad.

Neil Alexander

Investment Advisor, Associate Portfolio Manager

Neil graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance. With over 15 years in the investment industry, Neil has completed the Canadian Securities Course, achieved the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and is Options licensed.

When not working Neil enjoys spending time with his partner Serena and their dog Aurora hiking, biking and mastering his skills on the grill.

Meghan Hilderman

Associate

Meghan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication & Culture and a minor in Management & Society from the University of Calgary, as well as a certificate in Human Resource Management. She has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Courses, her Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH)® and more recently completed her Wealth Management Essentials and RR licensing.

In addition to her work with BMO Wealth you can find Meghan in her long-standing role as an Aquatic Leadership Trainer, passionately developing successful leaders for tomorrow. When not working, she enjoys time swimming, doing Pilates and being outdoors with her partner, three young children, and fur baby Burt Reynolds.
