Our Team

Sam graduated from the University of Windsor with an honours degree in Public Administration in 1983. He then returned to Sault Ste Marie and joined a large Canadian Investment Dealer, as an Investment Advisor. In 2003, Sam moved to BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Sam is also a Life Insurance Advisor through BMO Estate Insurance Advisory Services*.

As the lead member of the team, Sam is responsible for all investment decisions and recommendations. He uses the portfolio approach with a well-balanced, long term and diversified investment philosophy. Sam takes genuine interest in your financial well-being and offers you a value-added approach to managing relationships.

Sam and his wife Mara have two children, Noah and Hannah. They place the highest priority on family activities, enjoying time together participating in skiing, golf, hockey, and music, to name a few.

Kelly, born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, started working for a large Canadian investment firm in 2006 as a financial planner.  In 2017, Kelly moved to BMO Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor.  Through continuing education Kelly earned her Certified Financial Planner License in 2018 and obtained her Chartered Investment Manager License (CIM) in 2019.  Kelly is also a Life Insurance Advisor through BMO Insurance Advisory Services. 

Kelly and her husband Ryan have two children, Avery and Logan and their family dog, Jada. When she is not in the office, Kelly enjoys spending time going on family outings, hosting family dinners, watching the kids sporting events , golfing and fishing.

As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with a Diploma and Certificate in International Business, Trade and Commerce from Confederation College, Matthew brings technical expertise, practical wisdom, and business advisory skills to our wealth management team. 

A Northern Ontario resident since 1992, Matthew enjoys the region's outdoor lifestyle with his wife Toni and their twins, Colt and Averie, at their Lake Superior camp. Matthew is also an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
 

Elizabeth graduated from the Executive Office Administration Program at Sault College in 1991. She then joined the same Investment Dealer as Sam, starting as a Receptionist. Through education and dedication to service excellence, Elizabeth has worked towards her present position as Investment Representative. She earned her licensing requirements through completion of industry courses such as the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct & Practices Handbook Course, and Canadian Operations Course, all of which give her the knowledge and understanding to assist with all aspects of client service in the investment industry. Her main focus is on handling all of your administrative needs.

Elizabeth, along with her husband Jody and their daughter Emily enjoy a wonderful life together, with Emily as the centre of attention.
