Michel Fournier

Michel joined BMO Nesbitt Burns and the Long team in 2001. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Michel has also completed the CSI Canadian Securities (CSC) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) courses. Michel enjoys advising clients and educating them to become comfortable with the financial assets they need to achieve their investment goals. Michel has two adult children, Hannah, grade 1 teacher at Park Street School and Sam who is in the final stage of completing Forestry school. In his spare time, you can find Michel on the tennis courts (year round) or cycling on some of New Brunswick`s wonderful trails.
Dean Ouellet
Investment Associate
Dean began his career in the wealth management industry when he joined BMO Nesbitt Burns and the Long team in 2018. He is a graduate of the Université de Moncton where he holds a Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration with a major in Management. He also played four seasons for the Université de Moncton hockey team, Aigles Bleus, who he captained in his last two seasons. Dean completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials (WME) and the Advanced Investment Strategies (AIS), all from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Outside of work, he stays active and plays a multitude of sports including golf, hockey and skiing. Dean, his partner Mylene and their french bulldog, Josie, enjoy going on adventures and spend quality time with family and friends.
Zahrah Phatully
Administration Assistant
Originally from Mauritius Island, Zahrah moved to Canada in 2022, bringing a global perspective and a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. She graduated from NBCC in 2024 in Business Administration: Marketing, where she also completed foundational courses in Accounting and Finance.
Zahrah is deeply passionate about finance and is actively working toward completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). She plays an integral role on the Fournier Team which includes advisor Michel Fournier and Dean Ouellet, where she supports the team with daily tasks to ensure clients receive exceptional service and attention. Her adaptability, organizational skills and client-focused approach make her a valuable asset to the team, contributing to smooth operations. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Zahrah is committed to continuous learning and growth within the sector. She aspires to build a long-term career in wealth management and advisory services, leveraging her passion for helping clients achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Zahrah enjoys spending her spare time with her boyfriend Omar and her three cats—Daisy, Lily, and Luna. She values quality time with loved ones and believes in balancing professional ambition with personal happiness.
